I'm guessing this will be the price when/if the fight happens. But how many posters here are gonna cough it up or just go fishing for streams.
Does the undercard even matter in a fight like this?
How many sales would you guess it does in total.
Depends on how much you drink and which bar you go to. 9/10 bars don't show boxing at all nowadays, so you'd have to find one showing it. Then, you have to factor in ****ty bar TVs/feeds, drunk idiots trying to talk to you during the fight, etc. I can buy a 12 pack of beer for around 15 bucks, so that's ~$90 to watch at home. At a bar, they'll charge 7-9 bucks per beer (for decent ones), so you're looking at paying more than the fight cost just for drinks. Sure, you can sip one beer all night and watch the fight for around ~30-35 bucks (assuming cover for a PPV night), but are you really enjoying your night doing that?
Your bars sound ****e. The bar I go to has tv screens in the booths inside and a 60" tv in the beer garden under a shelter. There's loads of others as well.
£3 a pint... £58 spending money..... I could just go out for the main event and go back to a pals house or something after....... no danger I'm spending $90 or £65 to sit in my house to watch boxing when I can go out for 1 hour, watch the fight and get a couple drink for £6... rip off.
Not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but you guys are getting ****ed badly. I'd rather spend my money on beer and watch it in a bar. Get a whole night out for $70, rather than paying to watch a fight in my house that could be over in the first round.

35% of hardcore fans wouldn't pay that price and thats LOW END of what might be charged for the fight.
Casuals make up at least 70% of the ppv market and people think that the casual US fan Is going to provide a conversion rate that allows a 100,000,000 USD fight for two fighters who have no wide market US appeal and haven't sold a US PPV dime.
Laughable
Not gonna pay $70 but would certainly chip in at a fight party or something. Can't watch streams, they always cut out or the quality just sucks so it's either don't watch it at all or have a fight party and everyone chips in $10.

did not have the opportunity yet to pay 70 Dollar + for ppv fights. The most they are charging in Germany is 20 Dollar if I remember correctly (for the WSSB boxing tournament). I do it from time to time, because streams often dont work perfect, but the german commentators are often not that knowledgeable.
So paying 70 Dollar for a fight is not usual and I would feel weird to pay that much to have access to the fight at home. Though, if they charge that much for the fight, just invite some friends over and share the price.
I’d pay but I got it like that aswell.
Would hope for a good undercard(great exposure for the Charlos/Hurd/Jacobs) but even it was a **** undercard I’d still pay because again... I got it like that.
Yeah I’m buying and depending where it’s held I might try and go
This is the future fight I’m looking forward to the most

At $70 it would have to sell around 1.5 mil just to make Joshua's 50 mil guarantee. 100 mil fight though.
