Hurd saying he don't want a rematch now or something? I can understand him wanting Charlo or another name guy vs the guy he just beat, but this fight was so close it seems like a easy rematch for both guys to wanna show they are better. Lara better enough to win this time, Hurd better enough to win wider than he won the first fight. You r right...it was close. I don’t think an immediate rematch is necessary though. I’m sure it is in Lara’s eyes though. Personally, I’d like to see them both fight another bout, vs a different opponent, then come back for a rerun. All said, if they both fight with more conviction, it could be a masterpiece

They got a $1.5M pot last time so imo a 800k/700k split in favor of Hurd is fair enough this time.

Hurd will probably fight him next and win by a larger margin. Lara isn't likely going to get better but Hurd will be better.

Hurd seemed like he didn't want anything to do with a rematch but according to the WBA he's got no choice now. The fight was close and entertaining so I want to see a salty run back.

If Lara wants another ass whooping, take a paycut, and he can get it from Hurd worse this time. However, he'll probably ask to be paid double what Hurd makes despite not being the champion.

Lara shouldn't talk about "running". I wouldn't blame Hurd for taking a bigger fight before rematching Lara, if it brings him more fame and fortune. I'd like to see the rematch sooner than later though.
