DAVID HAYE reckons Anthony Joshua should snatch Deontay Wilder's hand off over his $50m offer to fight his heavyweight rival. Wilder's team went public claiming they had submitted the mega offer by email to AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn for a world heavyweight unification clash. WBC world title holder Wilder insists the fight must be staged in the US. Click Here To Read More]
You should take that lesson board yourself.
Lou DiBella, Wilder's promoter:
"You don't make a fight by sending emails. Sending out an offer and saying you have 10 days to respond .. that's not the begining of a negotiation, that's bullshit! You're not going to see it on twitter .. that muthafukker going on twitter with **** .. that doesn't mean the fight's going to happen ..."
Did Hearn pick up the phone or email Wilder Dibella or Finkel and say I'm interested or I agree to the 50M but wanna talk details? Or did he just say it in the media?
If you don't think there is a difference between what I suggested be said and what Hearn said, we can't come to a common ground. Being interested in and agreeing to certain parameters are totally different.
Lol. The excuses just grow thinner and thinner. Kids, this is why you should be a fan of boxing. Not a fan of promoters.

Of course they are! And Hearn saying he was interested in the offer, and asking for a meeting to discuss it, should have been all it took for that meeting to be scheduled, pronto, if Wilder's team really wanted the fight and the offer was legit.
You may see no problem in Hearn or AJ verbally agreeing to the offer, in public, before they see the details, but you are not the one who have to deal with the shit storm of ducking accusations that would surely follow if they agreed to something then changed their minds and backed away after the details were revealed.
Hearn said, "We are definitely interested in this offer, but we need to know the details. We can't agree to anything until we know the details."
Now what the heck is wrong with that? Why does he need to say "Yes, I agree to the $50million" but not to them, to the media, before they will meet him and tell him the details?
"It might not be a productive meeting" is just pure bullshit. They were willing to meet him before the offer was made, so why not after, ffs?

Just hoping this doesn’t turn into a Pac vs Mayweather saga where it’s a lot of posturing on both sides for years and then they both fight way beyond their prime and it’s garbage
And they definitely don't get made by having meetings.
There is so much we don't know. Thank god that insider wbc wba ibf guy and others are here to educate us all.
Hopefully, he'll be having his own meetings with Haymon and Deas today, and he'll come straight here and give us an update on what they have to say.

Agree. But that's not what happened. An email was sent and the social media post stated such. Here is what I will say, the timing isn't good, but the decision not to meet unless the conditions in the email were accepted us understandable from a negotiation perspective. There has to be a starting point for sit down negotiations.
I asked you in another thread, why couldn't Hearn just say "yes, as long as my concerns over brand obligations etc are addressed". That's a handshake on only the 50M and the date range.

Now everybody thinks a champion should gladly accept X2 of his regular pay but some were crying their eyes out when another was offered X6 of his regular pay as a low ball.
well anthony said himself "give me 50mill and ill take the fight" why are fans so obsessed with how much a fighter makes instead of wanting to see the fight? ur a fan not a promoter this new trend has become sickening
Even David Haye saying it's strange. Even stranger is Wilder's team don't want to meet or send a contract. :lol1:
If it looks too good to be true.....
You just don't understand how boxing deals get made! - Wilder fan
Nope .. he's saying he won't talk to Hearn until AJ agrees to the offer. And the reason for that, so he says, is that it might not be a productive meeting otherwise.
That's just bull****. You never know that any meeting is going to be productive until it happens. They agreed to meet with Hearn before the offer was made, and they didn't know if it would be a productive meeting then, so ...?
The offer is for a fight between Sept and Dec. That's plenty of time for any number of meetings. AJ is the one who needs to get it made in a hurry, because of the deadline with Povetkin. Wilder's team have all the time they need to sit down with Hearn and do things properly.
You don't make the biggest fight in world boxing by posting an offer on social media and saying .. "No meetings. No negotiations. you have 24 hours. Take it or leave it"

Anybody who thinks there won't be a meeting today in NYC is very naive. This all strikes me as PR nonsense to hype up negotiation and build up. I bet they've been talking behind the scenes since the initial offer. This seems just as fake as that Miami heat game meeting lol
I think what's interesting is how they've figured out how to move the narrative from a UK showdown (conservative approach) to a U.S. money grab. Don't see too many brits complaining about that.
Haven't read one single post that said Hearn and Joshua should sign a contract without knowing where the money is coming from. Finkel said in his email that he would give Hearn that info AFTER he agreed to the 50M/50% part of the deal.
