Vanes, Canelo, Lemieux, Ishida, Rosado, Ouma, Nunez, Tapia, Brook.
That's 9 of his last 21 fights since 2010. It's pathetic, it really is.
Remember when his fan boys tried to convince us he was a small MW? The size difference between him and Vanes is clear, even against Canelo who was supposedly on roids was made to look much smaller

This guy has to be the biggest joke in boxing, can you imagine if EVERY fighter had the luxury of fighting 43% of their competition from lower weight classes? Their records, especially knockouts, would be insane.
Active fighters at 160 in 2007
Sergio Martinez
Keith Holmes
Jermain Taylor
Pirog
Ronald Wright
Felix Sturm
ODLH
Floyd at 154
Also...
Kally Pavlic, Paul Williams, Hassan NDam,Daniel Geal, Andy Lee, Peter Quilin, Martin Murrey,
Thats the weak division ggg entered. Lol
These idiots are completely stupid middleweight has never been a weak division in boxing
Abraham career MW.
Kessler career MW.
Miranda career MW.
That's 75% he had to bring up a weight class.
So Ward is twice as bad as GGG.
and 160 to 175 is a hell of a lot more of a jump than 154 to 160 is.
No, you failed to recognize the title, since 2010 43% of ggg's opponents have been career JMW's, the man is 36, THIRTY SIX YEARS OLD.
By age 28 Ward was already had Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Miranda on his resume.
ggg is THIRTY SIX and continues his pattern of fighting career JMW's. This is not the norm in boxing at all.

Cotto wasn't even a real MW himself he was 155 vs Martinez, 153 vs Geale, 153 vs Canelo, and Canelo made 154 vs Smith. Canelo himself has fought in 3 separate weight classes, ggg absolutely REFUSES to move up or down for that matter.
I didn't even respect Canelo until he moved up to 160, he had to move up and he did, his 1st ever fight coming against the MW champion. ggg would never take that risk.
Omg your post is laughable. I see you lack any sort of knowledge I’m done good night son

So what?????????????
I hate the logic on here that if a guy moves up in weight, he's a "blown up *****weight" it's nonsense
BSLogic "Andre Ward is just a blown up SMW!" "Evander Holyfield is just a blown up LHW!" "Manny Pacquiao is just a blown up flyweight!"
ggg is a 36 year old champion and he's still fighting a career JMW like he's done 43% of the time since 2010. The man's career is practically over and he's yet to step up, it's been all his opponents stepping up. What he's doing compared to the rest of boxing's present day champions is shameful, it really is.
What about your boy Andre the son of judges and referees Ward who won an olympic medal at light heavyweight and then he made a career wrestling super middleweights and middleweights...lol
Ward barely weighed 172 of the 178lb LHW limit, he was severely undersized.
He fought at the weight because 1. He overestimated his ability to grow into a LHW and 2. His cousin was fighting at MW (there is no SMW division in the ams).
Ward still won gold fighting a 6'5 Russian that hadn't lost in 5 years, please stop comparing Ward to ggg they are polar opposites. ggg is 36 years old and can't even grow the balls to fight at 168 or 154, he has to drag fighters up, he refuses to budge while calling guys out.
I used OP's standard for constitutes a career. Around 20-25% of fights fought at that weight before meeting with Ward/Golovkin.

Who are we talking about, Vanes? Of course it a poor fight, has anyone actually said it isn't?
The point I was making still stands though. If people are going to go through his past CV and pick out guys to criticize solely because they once were JMW's, then those guys should do the same across the board with all his opponents that fit into the category and not just be selective.
I brought up ggg's last 21 fights for a reason, the guy is 36. It's not unusual for younger guys to fight a wide variety of fighters but at this age, this stage in his career, it's practically unheard of for a guy to fight opponents like this.
That’s because can’t believe was fighting ww at his made up weight of 155 he beat cotto to become lineal according to you and several other posters but now all of a sudden he isn’t a mw? Lemule has one loss going into the ggg fight so there goes your losing theory and that wasnthis first fight at mw so again getting owned:
Has ggg fought jmw? Yes and that’s garbage but the fact that he just fought Jacobs and clenelo and you have to go back to some bs click bait thread bs is hilarious. How many time did conelo make fighters go up or down in weight. Where are your threads on that

Canelo has 0 wins against an active middleweight, that is a fact. The guy couldn't even knock out a zombie Chavez. Lemieux was losing at JMW and immediately became one of the best fighters at 160 lol

So he picks a non active JMW fighter, over several others younger and better fighters (still JMWs), including his mandatory.
Why don't people just admit it was a piss poor choice?

While I'm not aiming this at anyone particular in this thread or the OP. It's makes no sense to have called for a Lara fight, yet say GGG is a joke for fighting career MW's.
It's weird to dismiss Lem and Canelo fights because they once (in Lem's case a long time ago) fought at JMW. But at the same time be ok with Andrade or Charlo, who are less established MW's than the former mentioned fighters.
I'm pretty sure Golovkin was also the cause for North Korea resuming their nuclear weapons testing program, global warming and the recent wildfires in California.
Yesterday I stubbed my toe, and I knew it was Golovkin.
Good point. Same goes for Lara who some people on here wanted to claim GGG was ducking.

Lemieux - Golovkin was his 27th fight at middleweight. He moved up to his first middleweight fight at the age of 19...
Canelo - fought above 154 since 2014. He was 23 at the time.
Ishida - he has floated above 154 since his 2nd fight in boxing. Golovkin was about his 14th fight above 154. Also interesting to note, he has had 4 fights at heavyweight...
Ouma - He fought Jermain Taylor 5 years before Golovkin at middleweight. Seemed to have fluctuated a lot, but moved up to middleweight for good his fight prior to Golovkin.
Tapia - He moved up to 160 at 24 years old. Need I forget to mention, he also easily beat Heiland the fight prior to Golovkin at middleweight. 10/19 of his total fights he weighed in above 154.
Nunez - He moved up to 160 at 22 years age.
Most of these guys were simply a case of getting older and maturing. This thread is completely dumb.
165 in the Olympics isn't the same as fighting in a professional weight-class... Also, Golovkin was 24 when he went professional.
I don't care about his age. I'm quoting this..
Ward who won an olympic medal at light heavyweight
So why is this being brought up if it isn't the same as the pros?
So we can all agree that he should not fight Andrade and CHarlo since they are career JR MW?

Didn't golovkin fight at 165 in the Olympics? Yet the others went to 168, while he picked a nice, weak, 160 lb division, whilst claiming anyone from 154-168.

No in the Kazakistan boxing system you don't get to pick, your told what division you fight in.
Yes, but it's Golovkin's fault he didn't turn pro earlier, you see.
If he had just turned pro at age 15, this wouldn't be a problem.
Kazakhstan was very welcoming to professional boxing in 1997.
It's also GGG's fault that Canelo got caught.
