Amir Khan's first bout in a British ring for five years saw him knock out Canada's Phil Lo Greco in a mere 39 seconds on Saturday. The 31-year-old British boxer had not fought anywhere for two years since being beaten by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in Las Vegas in May 2016. Click Here To Read More]
Lo Greco was not a dangerous opponent, but well done to Khan. There is no doubt that he was hurting Love Greco. However, I have noticed that British referees like to stop fights very quickly, and I'm presuming it was a British ref. But for me, they stopped that fight so quickly without even giving Love Greco-Roman a chance to get up, just to see if he could.
This whole thing was a money grab from both sides. Kahn does not have knockout power, he can overwhelm you with combinations. But even that would take at least 5 rounds. The whole thing was staged; from the fake tension and drink throwing at the press conference to that phony ass stoppage. Who stops a welterweight fight 40 seconds in? This fight is comparable to the Wilder v. Stiverne match from last year. Just like Greco, it was obvious after they engaged that Stiverne wanted to be anywhere except that ring. Difference is Wilder, who has a real killer instinct, put his ass to sleep and made him earn that check. UK boxing keeps pushing me further and further away. I’m not trying to discredit Kahn, he does and always has had immense talent. But putting him in there with a guy ready to take a dive only proves that he is not back for glory or to win a belt, he simply wants a final payday. Be authentic and you’ll be respected more
Lo Greco isnt a great fighter by any means and Khan is clearly exaggerating to make his win look better, however this guy did go 10 rounds with Porter and 3 rounds with Spence (which I believe was also on short notice).
As much as people dislike Khan you do have to admit he looked sharp considering he hasnt fought for like 2 years.
Lol yea danny throws that lead hook with his eyes shut more then he should. Canelos punch was a thing of beauty
There's actually a science to the no look left hook. Keith Thurman explained it best in an interview before he and Danny squared up. You should check that interview out.
Same ole same since 2013. Khan will name drop WW's bit still hasn't fought a good one. Its been five years. Ill give him a little credit for Alexander but damn, the way he talks, you'd think he fought a top five WW. Hopefully he proves me wrong and actually steps up this time.
top pick Garcia didn't even know he landed that shot he had his eyes closed..canelo's shot well executed times shot

At least the last fights for both these two turns a bit of heat back up on a fight that had long ago past it's due date. A good win here, a KO there, and these two can finally do this thing.
Brook ends him with extreme prejudice, but they can finally do this thing.
If lo greco was dangerous, he wouldn't have been picked as khans foe. Khan has only faced 1 fighter in 6 years with real ko power and...... He got ko'd.
