If you don't take risks you're not going to be relevant in this world.
He's not fighting anyone noteworthy. Pretty sure if he fought a Spence or even Thruman, the fight would draw a lot of interest.
True, just like floyd was irre!evant. That's why he tried being talking point by fighting m ma connor.
Also floyd was talking point as he said he could best gg g but not fight him. Being outspoken made floyd relevant. That's nothing to boast about

The only people who think Pac is irrelevant is the haters on this forum.... He is an established household name who is successful in politics.
I can see his last fight being against Loma, giving that man "the push" like Oscar did for him (He will lose UD to Loma and I'm a massive Pac fan but Pac is too slow now to out point Loma).
jmm is one of my faves
went to pac/hatton and pac/cotto...,,still have my stubs...also have a passport stamps in asia....been to honk kong, nam and macau
Ok..........
Pacquaio was washed up already but deserved a draw even with one arm against a guy allowed to use an IV under bizarre circumstances.
He was washed up but on a level playing field would have won. He lost 4x to Marquez but he'd have killed Mayweather when he wasn't shot and on a level playing field.
hahahahahaha....wow
just wow
That's very ignorant to say. People liked Pacquaio because he had an entertaining style and he took on all comers it wasn't just because he was white. He was actually and still is Asian and he has plenty of Asian, white and Hispanic fans. One could argue the Mayweather fans were racist if your pulling that card.
There was little interest after Floyd for a few reasons.
The fight was a dud (Mayweathers numbers were very low for his usual for Berto and the McGregor fight was a farce for casuals and UFC fans) and it's one that casuals stuck around for and after that they cooled their interest in Boxing somewhat.
He was way beyond his best days (let's face it he was a shell of his former self after Marquez iced him) and his fights had became boring.
It's common in Boxing that a star phases out. Especially after the huge fight the public wanted has finished and it was so bad. Even had he won that fight he wouldn't have done much better on PPV afterwards.
Also you don't like Pac. Stop. You don't like any fighter that's not from America. You are a pro America and f anybody else type fan.

The dumbest post I've ever read. You bring up Floyd using an IV, which isn't illegal in Nevada, and ignore Marquez teaming up with Memo Heredia a known PED distributor before the fourth Pacquiao fight.
Floyd beat Pacquiao far more clearly than Marquez did in the first three fights yet you say Manny deserved a draw Your bias is blinding you.
When he announced he was going to fight Horn, many people, myself included, thought that the fight was a joke, a complete non-contest against a complete rank outsider. Whether you believe he really won or lost that fight (I think it was the right result) the fact of the matter is he struggled quite badly in a fight he was expected to dominate. As far as I'm concerned that was the last nail in the coffin of his career as a top level fighter. He's fortunate that he still has enough clout to make a fight with Matthysse, which will allow him to recover a lot of his lost credibility if he wins, but would anybody still pick him to beat anyone currently in possession of a real belt at WW? I highly doubt it. He really needs to retire, you can't be a professional boxer and a serious politician at the same time.

All roads still lead to Pac. Everyone still want a piece of pac.
Arum fault.....he start falling off b4 the Floyd fight. Arum not picking interesting opponents did Manny in.
If he had fought guys like Broner, Khan, Garcia, he wouldnt have gotten this bad.
Good point. I remember he caught a bad brick with that Algieri fight.
Pacquiao shouldn’t be fighting. He’s lost past momentum. He’s not facing any truly relevant fighters either so why would the general populace care? If he beats Matthysse convincingly, they can squeeze one last big fight out of him. I’m not convinced he beats Matthysse.

So pacFUCK admits to using Shabu as a teen and now supports murdering people who use shabu.
What a hero.
You cant give a dead person a second chance you dumb immigrant FUCK
Yet Duterte is the most popular president in the Philippines since its founding in 1946,
People LOVE to comment about Philippine politics but have NO CLUE how the society is there.
We have this notion here in the west that society is "evolved" but in reality its more decadent then ever.
Duterte's domestic agenda is wildly popular, Personally i think he naive when it comes to foreign policy and is being played by the ChiCom's like a fiddle.
When Floyd beat hm and Manny being everyone that wanted to see Floyd humbled and knocked out and even ESPN and world wide sports networks and some of his fans, talking major trash and calling Floyd a chicken and starting racial slurs and typing hate speech on message boards and they are actually all basically gone from every message board and the only ones who are left are, real Manny fans who are actually respected.
Then when the fight happened and Manny got sent to school, everyone who was just a Floyd hater stop watching Manny and when he lost to Hurn they just disappeared because no need for their rematch with Floyd and Manny is done to them.
Then to them MaCgregor was the next Floyd destroyer, but real fans actually laughed at this.
Now Manny will more then likely win another world title and hopefully retire and take care of himself and we true boxing fans and not just fighter fans still watch him and love him, but don't want to see him get hurt.
So the bandwagon fans just disappear when their so called Floyd destroyer got beat and ESPN and other networks ate crow and stopped chasing Manny around and the hype died.
But Manny got seriously paid because of himself and Floyd and those fans who wanted to see him humble Floyd. Even when Manny got knocked out they still came and him and Floyd split the biggest single day payday in sports history unless i am wrong, then correct me, because i don't know of a single sport that pays 75 million and over for one days work.
Are you kidding me? Mike Tyson's highlight reels are STILL more popular than any current fighter. Highlight reels of Tyson that were uploaded a few months ago to youtube garner millions of views even despite the fact that Tyson has been retired nearly 13 years.
People still speculate if Floyd will return to boxing or go into the cage. I'll agree with you about the rest.
Hi John,
I thought Larry was talking about boxing websites, especially this one, not youtube. If all media are considered, I think Floyd would be up there as the most popular current boxer, along with Tyson. Not sure, just guessing, because I don't use youtube unless I'm following a link.
Doesn't Pac get love on youtube?
Have a good night.
