Idk... Schaffer knows his stuff, mixed emotion about this.. part of me says he has no choice but to take what they offer.. if you win then your in that star positive with power
And while each was selling ~1 mil ppv separate, together they sold a crazy record high. It's hard to predict exactly how well it will do, but it will do good
Exactly.
Oscar got 52 mil from 2.4 mil PPV with Floyd. Is AJ and Wilder going to touch the same PPV sales as that even with the UK?
Yer but that doesnt need to happen.
The people who are interested in this fight already know who they both are.
Their is absolutely no point putting it of for a different day- anything could happen.
That's true, and it's already as big as it's ever going to be in the UK. But Hearn wanted to get more people in the States interested in the fight. There are so many casual US sports fans who don't know anything about Wilder and even more who don't know anything about AJ yet.
Wait 13 million is considered a low ball offer now? How much did Parker get in his fight? and what is this fight worth ultimately? (Dont think its the reported 100 million that has been flying around)
That depends on the circumstances. So far, I've seen nothing to make me believe that AJ is trying to duck Wilder.
Hearn wanted to postpone it because he knows that, if handled properly, by having Wilder fight in the UK and AJ fight in the US before they fought each other, it really could be turned into a $100million fight.
But I'm 100% sure that Hearn and AJ's intention was always to fight Wilder and unify the division.

Just remember, when Pac and Floyd were selling 1 Mil US PPV, most of their opponents did not make 12.5 Mil.
And while each was selling ~1 mil ppv separate, together they sold a crazy record high. It's hard to predict exactly how well it will do, but it will do good
Fail.
You made no attempt to say anything of substance for the first two points.
The third is nonsense because boxers of many countries make big money IN THE US, which is evidence that US boxing fans spend a lot of money. More than any other country in the world. Doesn't mean that the fight needs to be PPV in the US. Boxing fans in the US will watch it and therefore the network will pay well for it.
3rd point is garbage because you fail to understand how synergy works in boxing. By your logic, May/Pac, GG/Canelo, and other such big fights should have only made the highest amount that ea fighter made in the past. This is completely bogus, as evidenced by the fact that highly anticipated fights will be greater than the sum of their parts. The bus around this is simply huge and you pro-UKs are fooling only yourselves when you deny the value that AJ gets from fighting Wilder vs anyone else.
For the last point, see the above. Don't expect me to come looking for one of your predictable retorts. When the fight does go down and is huge, you can think of how ignorant you acted when I tried to teach you about the economics of major events.
According to Joshua, if Wilder and his handlers truly believes the contest is worth $100 million - then they should make him a counter-offer for $50 million and the deal will get made immediately.
"If it is a $100 million fight and they are happy with taking 60-40, I'll take 50-50. Give me $50 million dollars up front and I swear I'll take that fight tomorrow," Joshua told Sky Sports.
I wonder what Schaefer will have to say about that?
Nothing is my guess.
I must admit, I was baffled by the flat fee offer from Hearn, but it makes sense now. He is always thinking one step ahead of dunderheads like Schaefer and DiBella. He set a trap and they walked right into it!
Why apart from money would he want to make a AJ/WHYTE 2 more than going for all the belts plus a legacy fight in Wilder.
You being an AJ fan wont you be pissed of if he dont make the Wider fight and gives you Whyte II?
That depends on the circumstances. So far, I've seen nothing to make me believe that AJ is trying to duck Wilder.

As a boxing fan who would you rather watch fight? Some slow bodybuilding coward or the guy who throws every punch with bad intention? Joshua is lucky that he's in the UK...those people have no idea about boxing...they bandwagon everything they see on tv
35% would be a fair offer to Wilder, because his belt raises his value, of course.
But the fact is, AJ could make as much, if not more, by giving 15%/20% to some other opponent, like Dillian Whyte, than he would make from fighting Wilder.
AJ/Wilder would bring in more than AJ/Whyte, but it's not a $100million fight. That's a ridiculous estimate. AJ and Wlad shared around £50million, and there is no way Wilder brings more money to the table than Wlad!
I don't agree with the flat fee, btw, and I think Wilder should be given the option of a percentage cut, if that's what he wants. But so far it's only a rumour. We don't yet know the full details of the offer Wilder got.

Ggg ducking...15 mil 10x more than he's ever made...he should except the flat fee or he's ducking.
Flat fee offer is an insult to wilder, he should turn it down...aj is ducking.
Also consider this: The flat fee offer that GGG got was for a fight a year down the road .. he wouldn't have fought Canelo one day earlier if he'd accepted it!
Mate hes going to make more money fighting a Wilder than fighting any other opponent.
Wilder/AJ is the fight that everyone wants do you think that AJ will make more fighting anyone else.
The hype for the fight is now.
Dont let this become a Brook/khan type of deal cause everyone will get fed up and just loose interest.
If Hearn is smart this is the fight to make and if they dont want to be labeled as a ducker then make it at least 35/65.
Then when Deontay knocks AJ out it can be 65/35 Wilders way in las Vegas.

UK PPV isn't £10 .. it's £20. The PPV income for AJ/Wlad was equivalent to around 500K US PPV buys. How many US fights sell 500K PPVs?
Now that Floyd has retired, only Canelo can get numbers like that, and even he needs the right opponent to do it.
Everything else you said just makes my argument stronger. I'm saying that the US income from a fight between AJ and Wilder, in the UK, would not justify paying Wilder any more than Parker got.
AJ/Wilder wouldn't be televised live, prime time, in the US, and neither of them are known to the average US man in the street.
Wilder/Ortiz may have got the largest US TV audience in the last 2 years, but US boxing TV audiences are pathetic, compared to other countries where people actually give a damn about the sport.
As for AJ needing Wilder .. that's laughable, really laughable. AJ can earn $20million against anybody. He needs Wilder like a fish needs a bicycle!

I suspect it's more accurate to say they want the fight, but they want it very much on their terms. The question then becomes what each party is willing to accept and if there's a deal to be made or if they're too far apart. I don't think Wilder will sign a flat fee offer.
It's interesting because there's mandatory pressure on both sides. Most immediately for AJ via the dangerous Povetkin. In the medium term for Wilder via Whyte and a potential purse bid fight in the UK which would be a greater risk than the usual Haymon pick.
LOL the most pathetic sh ite from a wilder groupie ive ever read on here.
What you for real? Cmon bro its a lowball offer.
Why? Maybe cause AJ doesnt want that work and knows its a 50/50 fight.
