Andrade was a top amateur, who isn't really relevant as a pro. He beat Vanes Martirosyan for a vacant WBO title, and was supposed to defend it against Jermell Charlo in 2014, but Roc Nation Sports convinced him to pull out. They promised him $550k, but screwed him over after he pulled out, prompting him to sue them. He then put himself in a position to face Lara, by taking the WBA regular world title from Jack Culcay, yet didn't. Instead, he vacated the title and moved up to 160. So far, the only guy he fought at 160 is Alantez Fox. Sergiy Derevyanchenko wanted to fight Andrade, but the latter pulled out of negotiations due to alleged injuries, so the fight was put off until this year. The thing is, Derevy just fought some other guy, and both him and Andrade want GGG, so their fight is just up in the air now. Andrade hasn't fought at all this year. Matter of fact, at one point, he fought once a year, for 3 years.
What do you guys think about Andrade?
Naw. I want Andrade to stop BS'n and do something. Fight somebody. Anybody. He's always trying to ride another fighter's wave. GGG has less than a month to secure an opponent. Andrade isn't about to take short money to get the fight made. And he deserves short money because he's not a mandatory & he doesn't have a belt. He brings nothing to the table.
If Andrade was serious he woulda fought a WBO eliminator by now. He's the #1 contender. That's how you get yourself in position to get a guaranteed fight with GGG or Canelo. But instead he pops up out of the blue trying to cut the line. Dealing with Andrade is a waste of time. Everybody knows this. That coulda been him fighting Lara but he didn't want it. He's talking about no network will buy the fight because Lara is boring. Lara didn't look boring this weekend because he fought somebody who was there to win. If he thinks Lara is boring then it's up to him to make the fight.
He's a waste of time. With his history of pulling out of fights & being difficult to work with why would GGG waste even one day trying to make a fight with him on short notice?
You do have a point brother.
Because he isn't taking $100k for the fight like Monroe Jr did, he isn't a mandatory nor does he have a belt. Why should he jump ahead of the line?
Lol that’s true about the $100000 but sometimes a better fighter jumping ahead of a line of bumbs is not so bad besides GGG has fought enough no hopers in his career l just wanna see him fight better competition because he’s a great fighter
I think you may just want him to fight and easy fight which makes no sense anywhere in the world but on boxingscene. Anytime people talk the way you do about fights you’re unsure of your fav pulling off the win so you downplay certain opponents but its cool I’m on to you.

Neither Derevy, O'Sullivan or Andrade are PPV draws, but unlike the other 2, Andrade's known for pulling out of fights, isn't GGG's mandatory, and has fought literally once at 160. GGG needs an opponent now, and most fighters wouldn't fight on short notice. Derevy's lawyers recently sent a letter to the IBF, and the IBF is pretty strict when it comes to mandatories, so he might end up getting the fight. Andrade needs to prove that he actually wants to fight the best, before the best are willing to negotiate with him. The sooner he understands that, the better.
Derevy is cool with me, but don't even mention spike o'sullivan
Nobody is paying for an Andrade PPV. Stop living in la la land. Out of all the 3 he's the least deserving and most unreliable. Maybe he should stop pulling out of fights and actually fight somebody. He's the #1 WBO contender. He could've fought Jacobs or the guy Jacobs is fighting for an eliminator. Why didn't he? Because he's a joke that's why. Andrade isn't serious and I wish people would stop taking him serious
You won't find 1 person in the boxing industry that would sh*t on Golovkin vs Andrade.
it's only on boards like this where somebody would prefer ggg vs spike over ggg vs Andrade.
I'm ok with sergiy vs ggg as well, but fu*k spike o'sullivan and f%%k anybody who wants to see spike o sullivan get sparked in 3 rounds
This is all true
It's like watching Gamboa inactive
Or Gary Russell
Or Andre Dirrell
Or Edwin Valero...it's literally been years since this guy fought.
So sad.
LMAOOOOOOO. I think you're trolling, but on this forum you never know lol
because there is a line of 3 for may 5.
spike
sergiy
andrade
out of those 3, I would only pay ppv for ggg vs Andrade.
if you prefer sergiy, that's cool because he is the mandatory, but spike dont deserve the fight more than Andrade. at least Andrade had a title before, spike can't even say that.

I think he was the Mando to jermell belt then he went and fight culcay for some odd reason when obviously he had no intention in enforcing his mandatory against Lara.
His career is one of the worst I've seen. Him and Mikey seems to share the same adviser or something.

All I know is he doesn't deserve the GGG fight. Derevchenko is more worthy. And he's beyond delusional to accuse anybody of ducking him.
Why doesn’t he deserve it? Willy Monroe or no one besides jacobs and canelo deserved it tbh. Im pretty sure besides Jacobs and maybe so Andrade will beat everybody on ggg’s resume pretty easily too

He’s got a terrible team around him. I think very highly of his talent, but him and his team have wasted years of his prime.
