loma toys with him
Right, like he toyed with Salido.
If Loma fights him, not run, he's kissing the canvas a few times. If he can beat Davis (I don't believe he can), it would be his best win to date, without an asterisk.
Your a cool guys appreciate your take on it all, and i won't be someone to discredit Davis as other's on hereby wish him good luck, atleast he will learn a lot from the fight if it happens,no matters who wins or loses.
And Loma's resume looking real good after linares and Davis, combined with the other names he already has
Good post, and thanks for the input.
It's just that I got tired of people calling him a "coward," this and that.
One guy said Davis will never fight Loma for at least another 5 years, or never, unless he's forced to. Nobody can force him. I believe Davis actually wants the fight now, it was Floyd who didn't want it, being a promoter and all.
Same guys who said all that stuff now seem to not want the fight. I don't get it.
Loma got his challenge, and I do like Loma.
True.
Davis is better than anyone Loma has fought so far. Loma knows how to lose, Davis doesn't. I like them both, but Davis is my favorite fighter and will stick with him, win, lose, or draw.
Salido wouldn't last more than 4 rounds with this Davis. I bet he disposes of Cuellar in style this month.
Davis is ready. Let's have it next.

I'm meaning after Cuelllar. He signed with Floyd in Nov. 2015-ish. I suspect the contract doesn't end til sometime around the same time in Nov. 2018.
Oh gotcha.
Could be that Floyd advised him not to fight Loma and Tank refused to accept it and said he'd only re-sign with Floyd if he gets the Loma fight made as part of the deal.
That’s a possibility because I don’t really see boxers wanting to avoid each other.
Garica/Manny/Davis are all great fights for Loma... Davis is the easiest of the three... A relatively easy win for Loma... So I wonder what direction Arum will be leaning for Loma's next fight... The in-house fight with Manny or the harder to make but easier fight in Davis? Obviously we aren't seeing a Garcia fight anytime soon.
If Pacquiao doesnt lose I expect that to be Lomachenko's next fight, itll do more for Lomachenkos popularity than the others.
This got multiple angles to it. Pacquiao wants to fight Lomachenko, Floyd wants Davis to fight Lomachenko, no doubt Garcia drops down now so his fans can say he ducked Garcia to fight Davis.
Whatever happens some fanbase is going to be howling about Lomachenko ducking someone.

I don't understand some Loma fans. They complained endlessly that Davis was a champ and should be ready to fight all comers (I agree and always said this, too).
Now that he wants the fight, they say Floyd is trying to get rid of him (far from the truth). Even so, why should they care? Shouldn't they rejoice that the "thug" will be beaten and humbled? (I don't believe this for a second.) Make up your mind guys. Which is it? Doubt creeping in?
To paraphrase Pacquiao and Golovkin, if Loma doesn't run and stands his ground (infights), he'll be KOed.
You think Tank is better than Gary Russell Jr?
Not on pure boxing skills, but he's much stronger, younger, more aggressive and relentless, punches like a tank, and has ZERO respect for Loma.
Let Loma try to pat his head like he did with others and see how that goes for Loma.
True.

true that, you'll be the last hearing me say otherwise.
but he has improved dramatically since that fight

that doesn't sound right at all...
I hope so, it's an exciting fight. People say Tank isn't ready but by my reckoning he's already top 3 at 130 or 135. If he loses it's no big deal, he can bounce back. It might even make him a better fighter, like the Salido loss did for Loma
Amen.
That's what I was gonna say too. Loma's chin will certainly be tested. Will it hold? Not sure. We'll see.
no it won't, tank won't catch loma decently, will be a nomas and schooling at that
Gotta be honest, I have no interest in this fight yet. Davis is just an immature kid and Lomo has bigger and better options possibly in Pac and Garcia and who knows he may lose to Linares anyways.
This fight seems like it should be at least a year or 2 away from happening to me.
