Mayweather might not have the strongest stable, but he is putting on a good card Saturday. We got four belts and a unification fight on this.
Hurd vs Laura - It's Foreman v Ali all over again. But Hurd is closer to Foreman than Lara is to Ali, so shiiii...
Caleb Truax vs. James DeGale: I think DeGale will try to knick rounds. This is a damn good fight and we'll see who DeGale really is (good or bad). No excuses.
Julian Williams vs. Nathaniel Gallimore: Gallimore can fight and is very aggressive. Know that. I think ring generalship will get J Rock the victory, though...
We are hitting the end of the quarter so the next three weeks are hella packed with some good matchups:
4/12/18 Francisco Vargas vs. Rod Salka
4/13/18 Austin Dulay vs Chris Colbert
4/13/18 Jamal James vs Abel Ramos
4/15/18 Ryota Murata vs. Emanuele Blandamura
4/19/18 Lamont Roach vs. Orlando Cruz
4/19/18 Gabe vs TBD
4/20/18 JonFer vs Juan Huertas
4/21/18 Broner vs Jesse Vargas
4/21/18 Jermall Charlo vs Hugo Centeno
4/21/18 Tank Davis vs Jesus Celluar
4/21/18 Frampton vs Donaire
4/21/18 Tete vs Narvaez
4/21/18 Immanuwel Aleem vs TBA
4/21/18 George Arias vs TBA
4/21/18 Rau'shee Warren vs TBA
4/21/18 Amir Khan vs Phil Lo Greco
So pretty much how I predicted:
1. Hurd just bullied Lara like a big mummy (and that is a reference not a jab--I been rocking with Hurd since 2013...on record calling him a future world champion at that time)
2. DeGale showed me some heart I did not think he did. Truax could not capitalize on his momentum and DeGale did what he had to do to win.
3. Nate did good. Andrew Zak is building a pretty good stable. J Rock is a good fighter who is building a pretty strong resume. He's kind of the Lamont Peterson of 54 (no shame ion that). Would like to see him fight Trout next.
