AJ does seem matey with Parker and vice versa - Parker's promoter tried to rile the Joshua camp with all the glass chin taunts and videos but Saint Joshua had pardoned him by time of fight night. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but it did reek of being nothing more than a business transaction between the camps. Parker will never make that much money for the rest of his career. He signed up, did the fake promotional stuff where he threatens to knock Joshua out and then when the fight was over he just did the "well, lost to the better man" stuff and slinks away with his millions.

AJ has unified three recognized world heavyweight titles. That makes him an all time great in my book. He won one from Charles Martin who might be the worst title holder in boxing history, and he only won his belt via leg injury. Some vacant ones against a 41 year old that had been out of the ring for 2 years coming off a loss and then one against Parker, who won his title in a fight that could have gone either way against Andy Ruiz, a man who can't wear a tie and a belt at the same time or he'll turn into sausages. Seriously, very few fighter have had easier routes to that many titles. Not knocking his achievements but it's just the truth.

He backed off to the ropes and threw that fast jab which fell short all fight and never changed his tactics up when they weren’t working. AJ had an easy way to win the fight and took it. It was smart, if incredibly unexciting. He’s hardly been reticent to go for the kill in previous fights. If you have bad intentions you find a way to land on the other guy. Tyson lost to lesser fighters than Parker like Douglas, he went the distance with guys who'd been stopped by other journeymen like Ruddock and Tillis, went the distance with a part time boxer like Mitch Green who stopped afterwards by a journeyman. Got into a war with a 42 year old, out of shape Foreman, gassed badly and got hurt by LHW Moorer, got stopped by blown up James Toney. I see no reason to question why someone would show there class and respect for me this shows the sign of a real man. To pick up on something like that is pathetic. All to very nice for me which transferred into the fight making it one of the most boring unifying fight ever
