Yep. There's timeouts in boxing now. That ref was on the take or should never be allowed to ref a big fight again. Where the eff did that guy even come from? Don't think I've seen that guy before. I can see why Joshua said he don't wanna come to the US, less ability for Hearn to control the ref. In the US we only buy the judges usually. Refereeing last night was an absolute disgrace and Parker's team should file an official complaint.

The whole thing makes me uncomfortable. He appears to have too much control over the event.

If he wasn't just a bad ref he likely got a lot more money for that fight. I thought even Joshua did his best work inside when they were allowed to fight though. It was a farce though. In the end Joshua just gave up trying to fight inside completely.

Maybe if the ref did his job and not let the tape hang in there for tremendous number of seconds the first time Joshua wouldn't have to take it on him... He even looked at him fixing the tape himself in disbelief once... :) ... That Macaroni ref was a disgrace... jpshua is not at Liberty to call any time out for himself Point Blank period. I don't care how bad the ref is Joshua is not at any Liberty to call a timeout in any professional ring whatsoever I don't care who joshua is. Your corner deals with the tape when the round is over..... your job is to stay focus as a fighter and get your shots off and try to disrupt your man not calling a time out in mid fight. That crooked ref is enjoying the fruits of his labor right now. probably making it rain on some hoes in a strip club. the commentary mentioned how this was his fourth fight reffing on a championship level. a green ref is more easier to grease. the fix was in. disgusting corruption on full display.

yep, you see that elbow that cut open parkers face too? This referee has never reff'd a heavyweight title fight, and was brought in to do exactly what he did. The Reff was clearly corrupt...or are just going to pretend he was just inept? well. Its obviously a work of hearn to have that ref in the ring. Honestly i was rooting for joshua. But alot of the tactics from The Ref spoiled Parkers chances. And that's absolutely shameful and ridiculous that's not right and I can't act like it's right. Not saying parker would have won but let the man do his gameplan....ref had no business being in this type of fight. In any other world he wouldn't even exist. So obviously someone with huge amount of power set him to be there and made it a strict point for him to be there.

That was odd. Although to be fair, that ref allowed Joshua to fight for about 2 minutes with the tape flapping about previous to that. Ref was hopeless. Was he Italian? I don't want to criticise him to much as with millions of pounds used to make the fight - he was given relative peanuts to officiate so he doesn't deserve to much flack. But Italian's don't have much of a heritage in the sport these days. It should have been a yank ref in there.

The ref was complete dog sh*t. Also aj started using the bad reffing to his advantage......when the ref would come in to calm parker down aj would immediately shoot off a uppercut......the crowd loved it and danced. Parker was pratically fighting two guys in that ring and the few times he started mounting any type of serious offence the ref jumped into to break it up. The ref was complete dog sh*t. The ref honestly didn't know what he was doing. He jumped into the breaks far too slow as well which allowed late shots.
