This was a technical master piece by both guys. Joshua has really good defense and a the best chin(argubally) at the HW division. Joshua showed a great jab and ability to make adjustments and cut off the ring. Joshua is a special fighter and so is Wilder. Wilder vs Joshua will be the GOAT HW fight in boxing history.
blatant corruption with those crooked scorecards. and AJ didnt make no damn adjustments. Parker nullified his right hand all night long. Joshua never figured out how to land it. Parker did almost all the body work and was the superior defensive fighter. defense is one of the four criteria used to score fights. only a biased fanboy or a paid off shill justifies those abysmal cards.

There was absolutely no excuse for him carrying and not engaging against a fighter who wasn't throwing anything back and moreover, judging by his body language was ready to give up. If anything it showed a lack of mental toughness and killer instinct on Anthony Joshua's part.
This was an extremely boring fight for the HW division. To their defence the ref was absolutely horrible possibly the worse I seen in the last 15yrs. That being Parker had the speeding and agility to put together punches in bunches but did that very little this fight. AJ is a better boxer than people give him credit for he had continuous pressure threw out the fight and cutting the ring off quite well but with Parkers high ring IQ he wasn't able to take advantage when he had Parker against the ropes. AJ got the win easily with no controversy but if Parker would have taken more chances with more aggression this could have been a very difficult fight for AJ. This does absolute nothing to prepare him for Wilder though since Wilder has a sludge hammer in his right hand there no real preparing for that other than dont get hit!

It wasn't technical or a masterpiece period. Joshua was hit plenty on the inside, his only defense was holding and look to the ref. Joshua seemed to get hurt in some moments. Joshua's jab was good to the body, in general Parker outjabbed him. The only adjustment Joshua made was with his left hook that he started to throw low to catch Parker as he was ducking to get close, but after being caught sometimes Parker just stopped to fall for it. And no, Joshua didn't cut the ring, Parker walked around and got out of pressure at will
This is what I'm saying. Yes the ref was terrible. Yes Joshua didn't look great. Those things don't mean that the scorecards were bad. I scored it 9-3 for Joshua and I was pulling for Parker.
Parker just didn't take enough chances and up the intensity in the latter rounds, when he knew he had to be behind.
What is it with guys getting credit for not getting knocked out? Parker deserves about as much credit as Haye against Wlad.
Both showed they'd rather hold than fight!
These are ordinary talents who are satisfied to "exist"!
Was either man exhausted at the end from giving everything they have? No!
Parker has no reach yet his jab stopped Anthony from mounting an attack using combinations.
Ordinary guys making much more money than their worth.
Wilder would be very dangerous for both of these young men.
He lacks a lot but he punches with bad intent! They don't!
