Neither fighters has charisma or that "it" factor. Now that's not a bad thing, but fans are looking for that inner fury in one of these guys and you don't see it in these two.
Maybe because nobody is giving Parker a chance to win where as when Wilder fought Ortiz, many gave Ortiz a 50/50 chance to win. I could be wrong.
Something is missing and I'm trying to put my finger on it.
Parker seems like a likable guy but he's quiet and Joshua...well lets just say that when he talks he leaves much to be desired.
Both have dull personalities. The aura in the air is that it seems like this is a bully fight.
The bully seems to have picked a fighter that he seems to think that he can beat. It's like Bluto is getting all of the props and it seems that Popeye is fighting Bluto without his spinach.
It just doesn't seem like fight week with these two. Nobody seems to be talking about this fight. We hear more from Hearn than we do from the fighters. I hope that the fight turns out to be a good fight. Hearn is telling Joshua's promoter to tell **** to Joshua's face like whotf does that? Lmao
No style wise it could be interesting.
Joshua lacks a natural right hand, an inside game but he will force the fight, movement, a consistent jab, and imo he has no real boxing skills...but he has a good left hook and uppercut. He's a decent offensive fighter who seems to be always bigger than his opponents in size and weight.
Parker seems to have a good beard, good conditioning...he lacks boxing skills, but has speed, good balance, a good winging right hand and good combos when he can get inside.
Still there is something missing from this fight.
There was much more anticipation to see Wilder Ortiz than Joshua Parker. Maybe the risk factor was greater. Nobody expects Parker to win. Nobody knew who would win between Ortiz and Wilder.
Something is missing in terms of personalities. Maybe we will find out more about them after this fight when they've answered some questions.
And for the record, Joshua won with the use of the jab. He didn't look good style wise, but he did use the jab. He didn't take chances, hardly landed the left hook or uppercut, but he showed good defense and a good jab against the smaller Parker. He is so damn stiff doe!
Wilder known abroad your clearly not one of the 34% of Americans with a passport then. Wilder is not even know in the US why would he be known elsewhere, Although dont worry by time Dillian Whyte hammers his name about I am sure everyone will know what kind of fighter (cherry picker) he is and how hard he is trying to avoid his biggest payday
with the WBC No1 contender.
The purpose of this alt is perfectly clear. Make Wilder fans forget Wilder Joshua, make fun of Wilder ducking Whyte, and pray that Whyte lands a lucky punch. Lmao
Not from this side of the Atlantic lol. Pubs all booked out, football all played 4 hours ago, every British celebrity already in Cardiff taking pictures/awaiting the fight. The hype is through the roof which means a lot of pressure on AJ to pull this one out. Seriously I would be impressed if he wins in an impressive fashion.
whats missing?
British boxing board and sky have banned the only fighter with charisma from the ringso much for all that charisma LOL aj makes 10 times as much bum squad. nobody knows who wilder is in america.
It's not a very interesting fight as Parker hasn't shown that he has any area in which he might upset AJ. It needs to happen though as Parker is #3. The most interesting thing would have been a face off with Wilder but AJ can't handle it I guess so Hearn nixed it.it doesn't matter to the uk fans as they sold out the stadium in minutes LOL thread fail. that's all that matters.
If Joshua beat Wilder he would be the king of boxing. I say that because I think that people are starting to know Wilder abroad and Joshua here. Their names are growing. The promotion would be electric!!! They can go from being unknown to known in one fight! Jmo

This idiot wilder had the chance to grab the bets years ago and never even tried and is now jealous that this other guy came along and did what he should have even attempted to do, and it hurts him, get over it i say. Then he wants 50/50 when he can barely fill his boots, if he gets 70/30 he will be very lucky but hearn will end up overpaying for him
Your reply is as limp as the fight build up, and the elbow surgery angle is about as interesting as a leftover sandwich.
People don't want just the "fight itself", they want everything, the build up, the controversy, the trash talk, the preflight clashes ......... everything, get with the program man.
