And if you know anything about Chisora you'll understand why he was an entirely different animal against Whyte than he was against Kabayel. You can slice it and dice it whichever way you want to, Whyte has wins over Chisora, Helenius, and Browne in the span of a little over a year. As well as giving a good account of himself in a losing effort. Outside of Povetkin who's mandatory for the WBA, who exactly is fighting better guys?

I just believe in Whyte and think he can challenge, he has improved since Chisora, lets not forget he is improving all the time since working with a new trainer and that Chisora fight was a great learning experience. It's like Wilder after 30 fights, he's improved dramatically since he was 29, and Whyte will be the same, you will see.... No hard feelings, have a good one mate. No, he has also beaten Chisora and Helenius and is ranked #1.... and beating a drug cheat is always a good thing, it's actually one of my favourite things in the sport. Oh I loved seeing a non-ped Browne getting dominated by Whyte, and then brutally ko'd.... and I'm glad Wilder ko'd Ortiz as well. When I seen him gas I knew Wilder would ko him, 2 rounds previous. Didn't stiverne just get a shot after one fight in like 3 years? And being semi-retired? Yup, and Wilder got lots of credit for beating that version of Stiverne. I want to see him against a young, prime and tough opponent.... sue me. If Joshua beats Parker clearly then obviously I want the undisputed fight, but Whyte is the next best opponent.

Simple question, has Whyte done enough to earn a shot of the mighty Wilder? Bear in mind that Wilder fought Firtha (21-10), Malik Scott (lol) and Jason Gavern (25-16) before he earned his shot at Stiverne. Whyte has fought Chisora, Tann, Helenius and Browne. Why does Wilder get a pass for his undeserving ranking and title shot but now Wilder fans are discrediting a prime Whyte as a deserving contender? Because the WBC is the only thing keeping Wilder relevant, lets be real. He was forced into his mandatory that he avoided for a long time. Povetkins team offered so much cash they would be stupid to turn it down, and if they vacated he would never be in this position now. I know Whyte was taking a supplement for a long time and then WADA banned something that was in it, he didn't know and carried on taking it..... hardly a drug cheat, and he served a solid sentence and has been clean for years. Povetkin and Ortiz popped recently and are much older and have teams around them checking these things, Whyte didn't. No contradiction. So, two 38 year old drug cheats and a 36 year old that has had 2 fights in 2 years and is coming off injury....I really worry about the sport with fans like you. If the sport comes down to who WAS better, and age didn't matter, I'd agree with you.... but we all know Lennoz Lewis can't fight any more lol Povetkin, Ortiz and Pulev would be better names in their prime, or if they were active, but after watching Ortiz gas after 7 rounds, and not seeing Pulev for a while......you have to admit Whyte is THE most deserving HW to fight for a title. The WBC’s and all other ABC organisations rankings do not give an accurate reflection of who’s truly deserving of a title shot because they’re all based on politics and meaningless intercontinental, international, silver belts etc. But looking at their top 15 I’d say: Ortiz and Povetkin are superior fighters to Whyte but Ortiz has just had a shot and Povetkin is WBA mandatory. Pulev is better than Whyte IMO but he’s pretty inactive theses days and is going the IBF route. Whyte and Brezeale are pretty much level for me, but both of them and the rest of the fighters in the WBC’s top 15 are not legitimate contender’s yet, hence the reason I’d like to see an eliminator between Whyte/Brezeale/Ortiz etc to establish a legitimate mandatory challenger.
