I had a feeling that he was going to win, but when they came through and said they repaired his elbows that went from a maybe to a certainly. Watching his past couple fights he barely jabbed or threw straights and that was because he just couldn't by the end of the matches due to the enormous amount of pain he had straightening his arms. Team Parker have wanted this fight for a very long time and they chased it many times before to. That's how confident Parker is that he can win.
Pre elbow fix I wasn't going to bet. Post elbows I've placed a couple bets for Parker to win by ko. The odds are great and Parker moving really well plus everything coming out of the AJ camp is pretty funny. They ignore the NZ and Samoan media. They get Takam in for sparring. They tried to lure Parker sparring partner Malik Scott into their camp but he declined. Hearn has stated he ain't happy about the elbow surgery because then that means there's a really chance of Parker knocking AJ out. Which for him is bad for business. I really do believe Parker has a real chance to win.
AJ is trying to now get into Parker head talking about the crowd and how it gets you blah blah blah and how you have to hear it. Which makes no sense for Parker since the crowd will be calling for his head lol and AJ been saying **** about how he is scared to lose and comparing boxing to tennis again. And that he is a sniper and that he will match Parker speed and that he doesn't care about his weight but yeah AJ is slowly unraveling which is great for Parker because angry fighters are easier to control.
he needs a KO. he can't win on points unless he scores 3+ KD's
AJ can win by KO, by British stoppage, by points and by robbery.
so realistically Parker has around a 1 in 5 chance of winning, which the odds kinda reflect.
The elbow surgeries have me wondering. Way back before Parker faced Ruiz, Cojanu and Fury, I rated Parker's chances high. Maybe his elbow problems were affecting his performance...maybe not.
I'm laying a little something on Parker to win, the odds are too nice to not take advantage.
I think he has a better chance than Wlad, the elbow surgeries are a good sign and what the camp has been saying makes sense if you've followed Parker's career.
No chance. I think Joshua will be prepared. Parker has to be able to push Joshua around and make him uncomfortable. He doesn't seem to be that type of fighter. Joshua will be free to tee off on him until he crumbles.
Parker is not very good, simply put. Slow reflexes, pushed punches, high chin, small bag of tricks. AJ is not great either, but he does have thudding power and a good team behind him. Mid-to-late-rounds TKO for AJ, I think. Don't see how Parker can avoid AJ getting to him
