They are reduced to putting on showcase bouts for promoters like Eddie Hearn and Kathy Duva now. Peter Nelson really dropped the ball.
Lucas Browne was awful and had no business being on those once elite airwaves. Other than to make Dillian Shyte appear like a world beater.
Yea, tonight’s fight sucked pretty bad. Looked like 2 kangaroos fighting in slow motion. Really sad display of sports, or should I say just schitty overall. I also don’t like just Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman, they needed Roy to bring some knowledge and light to the fight
I guess you found it really hard to watch Deontay's whole career then.

So you would have preferred if HBO never picked up the fight in the first place? Why?
Others may have been interested. If you didn't like it you did have the option of not watching it. More boxing on TV is a good thing.
I was glad I had the chance to watch it. It was a decent fight on paper. Great KO to end things.
The fact that it was two scrub foreign fighters is also a new twist.
I don't want to see squash mismatches but if they are going to go that route at least do it to boost American fighters and the American boxing scene, no?
golovkin v. dom wade and/or kell brook was awesome....grreat youear
American fighters can shine and look spectacular against tomato cans, too.
HBO is choosing not to support that for some reason.
I guess that's why Deontay is fighting on Showtime.

They aren't supporting much of anything.
HBO didn't fall, american boxing did.

I wonder if Al Haymon's PBC didn't get ruined by HBO's refusal to have his fighters on their air?
He might not have been expecting that to happen.
I hear the Haymon is a Powers-That-Be lackey. have you heard that?
Yes, he is a level below Joshua. No one is arguing that. But you should accord some level of respect to fighters. Thankfully, they do to themselves, instead of rationalizing what kind of whore they should be. I think we're done here. Good day.
Good day but paying Wilder 3 million is quite respectful. It would be his biggest payday, right?
Al Haymon ruined HBO boxing and Game of Thrones killed it. Once HBO realized how much money they were wasting with Haymon they changed their approach. And due to the success of GOT HBO uses a lot more of their money in that.

No. I am rational. I am getting extra coins for an easy fight, I am taking it. Especially if it builds momentum.
A well-paid whore is still a whore but what makes her above the others in that she is well-paid which means she will be able to leave the life quicker if she doesn't like it or begin to choose who she allows to f*ck. There are levels to this thing and corn-fed boy is a level below Joshua.
