Amir Khan training under Joe Goosen

As I understand it Khan is just doing this due to Virgil's illness, not out of being dissatisfied with him or his methods. Goosen isn't a bad replacement. Took Michael Nunn from his pro debut to the middleweight championship of the world.

Yea also think Goosen is a better fit Khan will always be Khan and Virgil Hunter is never going to make him defensively sound. Goosen is old school, he doesnt rely on fancy padwork to train a fighter. Khan just needs to be the best he can be, which Goosens more conventional training methods may bode better for him.

Khan is fighting a guy who is ranked 99th by boxrec and not ranked at all by anybody else. He lost 3 of his last 6 fights and was KOed by Spence in 3 rounds. Khan will easily win no matter who trains him. Goosen is a very good trainer and Khan may benefit from working with him.

I hope virgil gets better, goossen is a good fit, but now pacquiao wont have a trainer i heard goossen was his first choice to replace roach

Hope for a full recovery for Virgil but great move for Khan. Virgil fuccs fighters sh1t up.
