I see it all the time on here where people say won't shut up about , like they're constantly putting out press releases just to offer their opinions.
With the way "media" is these days, one interview will get chopped up into 10 different articles and posted with provocative quotes for clicks.
Can we stop acting like it's fighters who are seeking these people out to just offer their opinions randomly? If anything, these guys probably get tired of being asked the same sh*t everywhere they go.
"Why can't Kovalev stop talking about Ward". Because everytime a reporter sees him they ask about Ward. He does one half hour media session and each quote is broken out into a seperate article everyday over a week. Then people get the impression he is breaking into Kevin Ioles house at night to talk to him about Ward.
I don't know if they're really dumb or it's a meme. Like the envision a bunch of pro boxers standing outside of the boxingscene offices holding "I didn't lose to Horn" and "Margaritos gloves were loaded" protest signs waiting to get their turn while the staff barricade the doors.
He just won't let it go! He's coming unhinged!
I've been pointing that out for 10 years now.
I even suggested the writers here to actually write out the entire interview, like a Q & A, so that posters can see that it's an interview. Because most of them are too stupid to comprehend that.
Here is the thing, people read titles, and then comment.
So when you see Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford: I'm Better Than Lomachenko, you go crazy..."Oh hell no, why is Crawford talking sh*t about Loma?"
Well, he was asked about Lomachenko in an interview, dumbass.
People know but are stupid.
Not only are they asked questions, sometimes their quotes are used over a few days or in a few articles which makes it sound even worse. Sometimes the words are even changed slightly from the video.
LOL yea that is a thing these days ain't it.
1 interview on Sunday could be cut up into individual stories til next Sunday. I mean fair play on trying for max headlines, but just release them all at once &/or combine some of the weaker headline remarks cuz it looks sorta dumb when the "news" is old sh^t. I see sh^t being released all the time that I heard on a podcast a week ago thats being put out like its news today. Although sh^t fair play it probably is news to most people.
Honestly I don't know why this site doesn't have more videos. If I was President of BoxingScene.com I'd fire half these hack writers they got & hire some videographers to produce content with fighters & do more video interviews with fighters. Could probably make some extra bank via YouTube &/or with sponsors. I don't think there is anyone who's really doing that exclusively for BS is there? Or if there is there isn't a lot of it.
Yea no doubt on the video thing...one of the main reason I was a member of maxboxing back in the day.
Boxingscene itself is terrible for it... I frequently read a SkySports article and then find that has become 2/3 articles here but I guess page views are king.
