I wouldn't say "great fights" but a couple of good ones. PBC has all the best fighters so Bud & lomo have to mix it up with them. Ask bob if he is willing to work that out....
"All the best fighters"?
They have maybe a stretch two of the top 10 pound for pound fighters (only Garcia and Spence really considered), they have the best at 154, 147 (though Crawford is better than Spence), 140 (probably) and 126. So that's at a stretch the best in a grand total of four divisions. There are 17 divisions in Boxing and 10 places in the top 10 pound for pound.
All the best? I think that's a stretch but I wouldn't expect you to be objective either.
What the heck are you talking about? Crawford has remained ACTIVE, he's gotten great fights, been fighter of the Year all under top rank. Under pbc all he'd do is sit, like the rest of them.
As far as Loma, well top rank does promote other fighters as well. Their entire focus can't be just on Crawford.
By the way Top Rank doing a good job promoting Loma is good for Crawford.

I think Loma just has better opponents around him. And Arum did well by snatching up a Linares fight.
Crawford just doesn't have the same amount of options.
If Bud can handle 147 then he has plenty of options against PBC Fighters.
Thurman, Garcia, Spence, Porter are not even fighting each other.
And you want to add Crawford to the list they're going to duck?
So stupid.
Terence has also been making more than $1 mil per fight fighting
the likes of Lundy and others.
You should be asking these PBC fighters to leave Haymon, instead.
Tell them to sign up with Hearn or other UK promoters.
These guys are not making any dent.
If you think Bud isn't a P4P great fighter, and the list of fighters he has fought is meaningless, you're an idiot or a troll. Either way I don't engage with your kind.
Good day.
So beating Postol and Indongo make one a p4p fighter?
What about Indongo? Is Prograis a p4p fighter?
You can't answer the question and resort to name-calling like an 8 year old.
If you think Crawfords record makes him p4p then you are an idiot. And don't forget, he was 160 beating on 140 pounders. How is he p4p when he has never even fought anyone his own size???
WAR PROGRAIS! #1 P4P.
Can't argue with that.
And where is he going to go? PBC?
Aren't you clowns sick of part-time boxing?
He will be put on the shelves just like the others.
Terence has been fighting 3x a year at TR.
You want him to become like Thurman, Garcia, Spence, etc.,
who fought only once last year?
I too wamt to see the best fight the best.
Im not ignoring the landscape. I'm just saying it would be ridiculous for Bud to leave a promoter whose given him good matches and good paydays for a possibility. Again it isn't as if pbc fighters are active and constantly fighting the best. I like that at the very least with TR Bud's been active. I'd hate to see him go the way of Adonis Stevenson.
We agree. I'm not suggesting he leave for a possibility. I'm saying he likely has to consider it since TR's roster at 147/154 is so thin and the biggest fights are with haymon guys.
That is an old complaint that holds no value now given the schedule PBC has announced.
WHy assume it would be like Adonis , who is 38, and not Spence or Mikey who are closer to his age?
Meaningless fanboy ranting. TR has never given Bud a good opponent. Good matches=zero chance. Good for Bud, horrible for fans.
Active?!? Ten months between fights? To fight Indongo and Horn?!?!
BUD IS DUCKING EVERYONE GOOD AND USING TR AS AN EXCUSE. TIME TO MAN UP AND FIGHT THE BEST.

Define "great" paydays? What if another promoter can get him more?
He just moved to 147, why would WW want to fight a JWW?
Well those are the 2 money fights for Crawford at TR. Otherwise its slim pickings.
You seem to be purposely ignoring the landscape. Why should Crawford stay and fight Horn level guys when fights with Haymon WW would bring more because they are the best in the division?
I just want to see the best fights get made.

Which is why he needs to either leave or wait out Bob until he dies and the son in law takes over.
Crawford is going to end up at 154. All the best guys at 147 and 154 are either with Haymon or guys that work closely with Haymon.
Crawford already has the built in crowds in Nebraska so he can fight there 1 or 2 times a year. Then the one big fight in Vegas or NYC.
He can get a Dibella to handle the groundwork.
Crawford might be willing to do that, but I don't know if his management is.
I'm sure buds manager also would take note that Bob Arum can't guarantee Pac or Loma if both those guys aren't willing. Pac is on his way out and Loma is 2 divisions down with many great fights before Bud.
Crawford however is p4p the best fighter right now. Getting great pays without Pac or Loma. It should be the other guys wanting to fight him.

Arum has bought the boxing media to proclaim he is a p4p fighter. But he is still completely unknown outside of Omaha. This is because he fights nobody.
Crawford isn't going to leave TR. Then he would have no excuse to not fight the best. Supposedly p4p, yet moves up as soon as Mikey comes up and Prograis gets his first big fight. And yet, he still isn't facing a top 5 ww. Guys 7 pounds bigger but with the same skills as Postol or Indongo aren't even top 10 wws. Bud don't want anything to do with any elite opponent. He is ducking the entire welterweight division, after Mikey scared him out of 140.
Bud is with TR so he never has to take any chances. If Broner followed the same strategy he would still be a p4p fighter.
Arum can buy journalists to put you in p4p lists and the journalists can convince idiots that its true, but none of that matters to anyone outside of Omaha who doesn't get on sites like this everyday. But again, its not about being known, making the most $$ possible, or daring to be great. Its about not taking any chances. None. He is scared to death. Dude was 160 pounds fighting at 140!!! Beating guys much smaller than you, who aren't A level fighters to begin with is doing what any halfway good boxer should do.
This is ridiculous meaningless dribble.
Crawford should leave but this isn't the reason. Just look at how Pacquiao is trapped in a lifetime contract.
pac did that to himself....he could have done things differently....but he was too loyal and happy getting checks he never dreamed of.....and koncz helped arum keep him around
I agree with you regarding jumping ship. That said, you need to take an honest look at the landscape.
If you are Crawford and his manager, leaving TR isn't done out of spite. I wouldn't suggest it now. once you beat Horn, if TR wont give you fights with Manny or Loma, what is the incentive to stay when all the other big money fights are Spence, Thurman, Porter, Broner, Hurd, Charlo?
yes he could lose but you expect more risk as you go up in weight and fight the top guys.
If TR signs the top guys then obviously he should stay. If PBC folded all of those guys are free agents. Crawford wouldn't need Arum to make fights in Nebraska.

I don't think you jump ship when things are going well for you. Nothing guarantees that leaving TR would get him any fight against the top guys at 54. He'll what if he loses his next fight?
What if some of the guys at 54 sign somewhere else? What if pbc folds?

Crawford is now at 147 and is projecting north. The best fighters at 147/154 are all with haymon. So will he still be able to get good fights?
PBC has stalled fighters the last couple years. This year they have already announced a string of fights for the 1st quarter of the year and seem to have plans for the 2nd part of the year for all big names.
I 'm not saying he even has to sign with Haymon. Do what Mikey did, go to schaeffer.
I just don't think its good for the sport if Crawford can't get the fights we want to see because of politics.

There is no guarantee he would get those fights with Al.
More likely he'll be inactive as many pbc fighters are. With TR he's fighting at least twice sometimes 3 times a year. Getting good fights.
