David Haye from his fights against Dereck Chisora, Monte Barrett and John Ruiz against most recent versions of Deontay Wilder going by his last 6 bouts.
Who wins at heavyweight?
He was a hell of a lot harder to land on than Wilder is. Haye would land on Wilder any time he wants, this isn't slow Ortiz we're talking about.
This isn't a stiff Euro glass chin Wlad we're talking about or a bumbling oaf in Valuev either!
We're talking bout a guy who's awkward, has speed as well, has stamina, throws punches in every angle, with fight ending power!
Haye would have to be near perfect to win or he's getting KO'd cuz he makes lots of mistakes as well!
"Wilder too easy to hit and peak Haye has lightning speed and huge power"."
Haye too easy to hit and peak Wilder has lightning speed and huge power.
both statements are true
Haye hurts and outboxes deontay early. Wilder never gets discouraged though and eventually puts haye to sleep in the later rounds. Deontays power, stamina, size and determination wins him the fight in the end.
This is how I see it
Haye by anti-windmill precision point Hayemaker™ targeting system (AWPPHTS)
Haye windmills just as bad as Wilder when he has his man hurt. His finishing is comical at times
Id take Wilder tbh.
Even in those carefully selected highlights that Haye put out of their sparring, i saw one smaller man struggling like hell to keep the big man off him. Sure he showed good headmovement on the ropes, but over 12 that isnt a viable tactic imo.
Haye isnt as skilled as him and his fans like to think.
So yeah. Both are punchers and you could see either getting sparked, but i see Wilder losing rounds early before taking Haye out later.
Haye's just all around a better fighter. Only thing Wilder has over him is power, but Haye had plenty of that himself. Haye was hard to hit and very accurate, Wilder with his limited skills would get stopped easily.
Even that's debatable! Even if Wilder has more power, it's only by a slight margin. David Haye has shown power on the same level at heavyweight as Deontay Wilder has in my opinion.
This poll result so far is conclusive proof of the delusional people on this site and their general rationale. Lol... not even Haye will pick himself at his best to beat Wilder. But as always, there is always this mythical person that will beat Wilder. Even after Wilder whoops AJ and Fury (Wilder's only competition), they will still say Haye at his prime beats Wilder.
When exactly was Haye's prime? Whom exactly did he beat in his prime? The level of delusion on here is extreme almost as if we are on different planets. Keep on the delusion though - no sure there is any cure for the kind most of the folks on here have but the truth. When you tell yourself enough lies for long enough, it begins to sound like the truth after all...
David Haye would smash through every opponent Deontay Wilder has faced up to date (and yes, including slow Old - Tease with high blood pressure). Haye would have a 100% KO record if he faced all of Wilder's opponents.
Who exactly has Deontay Wilder beat that makes him so much better than David Haye? Wilder's best wins are probably just as good as Haye's.
Unfortunately for Wilder, David Haye hits just as hard as himself. On top of being the far superior athlete and far more elusive. Haye can counter punch really well from long range. That would spell nightmare for Wilder.
The criticism against Wilder is justified. He has barely defeated any top 10 contenders in their PRIMES, despite being a WBC champion for as long as he has. Until then, there still exists a question mark around him.

Haye is actually very fast for a heavyweight. Only a well-schooled fighter (NOT Wilder) neutralized a prime Haye.
At 6'4", he has the physical tools to clip and stop Wilder. But he can also gas out easily.
Haye is not 6'4".

Unlike Wlad, Deontay isn't able to use his height and reach to keep Haye at a distance whilst keeping your punches at a minimum so as not to leave too many openings for a counter. Wilder is pretty easy to hit in comparison.
Haye had the skill and the speed on his side whilst having enough power to topple Wilder with one shot. So I have Haye taking it within 6 rounds.
I like Haye and dislike wilder but I believe Wilder wins.
Sure Wilder is crude and all that but he seems to be a dog who is willing to fight till the end and he is always dangerous.
Wilder knocks Haye the fuc out. Sparring is sparring.
Haye has never shown me the willingness to dig deep and win.
Wilder has plenty of heart and the power to hurt Haye. Haye gets blasted out of there by a guy who's willing to win.
Haye is the most hyped guy I've seen in years, his match up with Wlad was a pathetic effort described only as a "bum" performing.
Ray
I’m no Haye fan and think he has disgraced this sport many times. But I don’t think you can question Haye’s willingness to win or heart. He got up off the floor to beat Mormeck out in France he certainly dig deep that night, and also showed a lot of heart continuing to fight after rupturing his Achilles’ tendon vs Bellew.
I'd have to go with Haye but you can never write off Wilder with that power.
If Haye had Wilder hurt like ortiz did, there's no way Wilder see's the end of the round. Haye is/was as good a finisher as you will find.
