Wilder was behind, Floyd was not.
Wilder also stopped Ortiz, Floyd did not.
There are also many different thing about the two, but everything ends up being about Floyd. :lol1:
Floyd was hurt early in the round and came back strong and was fine by the end of the round. Wilder was hurt late in the round and was in trouble when the round ended. Very broad similarities.
Floyd was mildly hurt, honestly some refs may have stepped in during The 7th. I would compare it more to Wlad knocking down AJ or Pavlik Taylor 1
I watched it a couple of times and although he could've stepped it, it would have been like a groves froch controversy (which might have worked out best for both fighters - a rematch would have been so much bigger than!) however Ortiz although consistent allowed several 'breaks' in his punches which was just enough to avoid any stoppage in my opinion. Wilder, to his credit, tied up Ortiz as best he could given he was hurt. Arguably, given it was likely to be a 10-8 round anyway he could've given himself a knee and an extra ten seconds to recover - although that clearly goes against what your Instincts and the fans wouldn't have liked it!
Lol...gotta love "sweet science" Larry looking for reasons to support wilder. If larry was at all consistent he would be trashing him saying he got exposed the first time he stepped up etc.
Nothing alike.
Mayweather was hurt for about 20 seconds and finished the round strong.
Wilder was out on his feet for the whole round, took consistent shots and didn't get his legs back until 2 rounds later
This. Not even close to being the same.
Wilder was much closer to stopped imo. I'm sure the ref was really thinking about stepping in.
But yeah, their resolves were both put to the test. Wilder had at least been tagged before and hurt whereas Mayweather had never really been in that troubled a situation before. Even when his glove hit the canvas in one fight, or in a close fight with Castillo, he never really appeared to be shaken up until then.
False.
Was rocked badly by Demarcus Corley.
Not really. You can technically say this about any fighter who got hurt and ended up winning. I don't get the comparison here to be honest or the reason to make it. I'm guessing you made this comparison because you're a fan of both and just felt like it. Which is fine.
Mayweather was hit with 2 clean shots
I appreciate the correction - it's been a few months since I've seen it. Regardless, no comparison. Wilder is very lucky it wasn't stopped.
Saw them tested against huge punchers, withstand, survive and adapt!!!
A little bit similar except for the part where mayweather didnt get an 18 second timeout to recover after the minute break .
Tony weeks would have stopped it and Wilder is damn lucky it was allowed to continue, as many refs would have stopped it. Mayweather was hit with one clean shot. Not even comparable.

Larry, quit this site and focus on your kids.
You are doing a great job at that.
Posting stupid **** on this site does nothing for you.
Put all your effort into your kids, Man.

There is nothing similar about them. Wilder appeared much more hurt and was trying to survive the round. Mayweather came back and actually won the latter part of the round.
Nothing alike.

Not even remotely close man. Mayweather was briefly stunned and was starting to take back control by the end of the round. Wilder was reeling around the ring and had the ref looking closely at him.
