I was surprised that wilder was up for sure. I think judges like his style. I remember there was a similar thread after spilzka fight. Many people thought that wilder was getting outboxed before the ko, but when the cards were shown he was like 2 or 3 rounds up.
Me and my other orgs discussed it and although we had Ortiz up, it was not by a whole lot. We are very proud of Wilder and we are working hard to get him to drop that vile WBC belt. He will never be a true champ until he wears a WBO, WBF or IBO strap.
:lol1::lol1: the greenest of k
exactly what I posted, only delusional black americans keep saying it was close lol how a guy not throwing punches can win a round is a mystery, can someone explain that to me?
Then why do you watch? The only time you actually talk boxing without crying about robbery or trolling is to defend golovkins honor. If he loses I’m sure you’ll have your compu daggum ready and 5 paragraphs on how corrupt the sport is
And for the extremely few guys he's a fan of he jumps off bandwagons rapidly aswell :lol1:
I just watched the entire fight again on Showtime. Ortiz won round 1 & 3; Wilder won round 2 and 4; note that you can give Ortiz 4 and wilder 3. It was that close.
Wilder won round 5 and 6; lost round 7 and 8; round 9 was even. Even if you give that to Ortiz, Ortiz would have been up by 1 round. If you gave it to Wilder, he would have been up by 1 before the 10th round.
Watching the fight without the nervousness or in the moment makes it easier to assess the fight better. Anyway, glad Wilder did not leave it to the judges. He took Ortiz down - time to move on for the haters!
Well said and great post. I have to spread more reputation or I would’ve given you green k.
I can agree with that. Round 4 was close.

Not hating at all i honestly had wilder winning like 3 rounds at most. He barely threw anything at all. Ortiz was outboxing and outworking him for most of the rounds. Wilder only committed to throwing anything a few times the whole fight he mostly just backed up and threw jabs.
Stop the excuses. the doctor wanted to check Wilder's eyes to see if he should continue the fight or not. That's what happened. Wilder seemed shocked as well that they stopped it to check him out since he did not go down.Well said lol.

They didn't have time in between the 60 second break?
Highly suspicious scores and highly suspicious refereeing there.
I enjoyed the fight and Ortiz' old ass did way better than I thought but Wilder was trash and had a lot of help and he was never going to lose this fight as long as he didn't get KO'd.
yes you can give wilder props for taking a beating and coming back to win in 10 rounds against a woefully out of shape opponent but the point is he didnt' even need that comeback as he was already ahead on the cards and would have won no matter what happened. thats how boxing words. a-sides get a million chances to win and the b-side basically has the marquez ko you could punch which lets be honest happens once in a lifetime.

All you do I say cry and make excuses. I’ve never seen you give a fighter props unless you already had their dick half way down your throat before the fight

ortiz simply had no chance to win this fight as i said beforehand. he had wilder out in the 7th and the ref didn't stop it and even gave him an extra minute of recovery time for absolutely no reason. then he was clubbed behind the head over and over and its a knockdown? no time to recover? judges had wilder up just in case? thats why i said wilder would win because he was the a-side guy and he wouldnt have taken this fight unless he was assured victory. boxing is so easy to predict.

He didn’t get hit behind the head. Wilder was not out enough to stop the fight. Stfu for once you’re clearly not a boxing fan
Forget the fix...how convenient was Wilder getting those extra 20 seconds after the round that he was saved by the bell.
This too.......
Dude it’s New York. They’ve been super cautious since the mago incident
It was an incredibly exciting fight. Wilder's size advantage seemed more apparent than I thought it was and the youth advantage was the the bigger difference. Ortiz was just a tiny bit awkward at times with the early slip and first knockdown down. Wilder was definitely out on his feet at the end of the 7th and I give him credit for surviving the onslaught somehow with his feet under him. I think a younger Ortiz would have ended it but I'm not going to make any excuses.
I had Ortiz ahead at the start of the last round but I knew if it came down to a decision he had no chance from the start. Wilder is tough and has heart...showed that for sure. He has an ugly style/no style but it perseveres...at least so far. Ortiz was just too old and tired at the end. Everybody waited for him to get old and he did...but nobody can take anything away from him because he was an inch shy from ending it in grand style in the 7th.
It was a great fight...i loved it. I think AJ wins against Wilder...I think he hurts him like Ortiz did but will finish him after he does. He's much bigger and younger. I think a young Ortiz would have beaten both AJ and Wilder...maybe even only two years ago.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. :fing02:
