This will be the first time Deontay faces a real fighter (+ who isn't a police officer or construction worker by trade)
Can those chicken legs hold up? I doubt it.
Wilder is aiming to put to rest boxing stereotypes and long held beliefs about weight, and amateur skills in a pro boxing match. Much of the traditional boxing community seems to dislike him much like how Migos and Future are dissed by older hiphop fans when they are just doing it differently.

Can those chicken legs hold up? I doubt it.You said it yourself.
Meaning, no one knows how he will respond to his first big test, including yourself.
What is Szpilka ranked ? 20 ? that small southpaw gave wilder trouble for 9 rounds.....now we have the highly skilled , big soutpaw Ortiz , with power and a longer reach stepping in there . Ortiz by ko within 7 !!!
The Whyte /Joshua fights are easy picks for me .
This one not so much .
Even if Wilder comes at 220 its VERY light . People can say weight doesnt matter but hes 6'7 and can be easily hit off balance which is why if Ortiz uses his stiff arm body jabs its going to make Wilder reset the entire fight .
Wilder at 214 /215 ????? Im going with Ortiz , when you look at the actual Wilder punch counts he lands to get the majority of his opposition out of there since winning the belt , i find it hard to believe Ortiz is going to just fold so easy again IF he comes to fight ,which im assuming he will .
Ortiz is a great ring cutter , a fighters foot speed can easily be nutralized if someone has COMPETANT ring IQ . You would think Ortiz is on his death bed and has stopped traing for 3 years with some of these comments . lol
You would think after the Klitchko fight it would have educated ppl more where title fights you always expect the best versions even if they dont show up.
In a rare circumstance im reversing my pick , this is a fight Wilder needs to show me he can win a high end fight at 215 .
Your right he is very light for this fight. Wilder does need to set to throw his big punches.

Or a 5th Ave Wino
I'll take any version of Ortiz ANY day over the opposition Wilder fought .
People dont know what they want and dont look at the actual skills.
Hes too muscular ,hes to fat , he doesnt have enough muscle , hes to skinny .......... etc . etc ......
Wilder at 215 is going to have a difficult fight ( imop is to small at 6'7 ) for the caliber Ortiz is . If Ortiz ACTUALLY goes ALL in on him ,he wins !
Thank the heavens someone else can say it for a change... Very well said Juggy, very well said.
To me the central question of this fight is whether Wilder will remain a one handed fighter. Ortiz can avoid one punch all night. If Wilder is able to show he has put it together enough to work off his jab, and throw combos it may be a good fight. If it goes to the cards unfortunately the judges will probably give it to Wilder unless Ortiz wins by a great margin.
But there is a very good chance that Ortiz exposes Wilder.
JUgs you will remember what they say in training..."during a crisis we all revert to our lowest level of attained skill." While Ortiz has been in boxing rings for a long time, Wilder is a relative newcomer and if he starts getting wild because he is being hit and forgets to do the things he has improved upon... It will be a long night for him.
You are severly underating a skilled fighter who just has to show up great ONE night like MOST great fighters do in TITLE fights .
I remember all you guys telling me Klitchko was too old ,past it , done .
Not only does Ortiz have less wear and tear than Wlad had but he just fought a tune up fight which helps immensely no matter how long it goes ( with the exception of anything under 2 minutes ) and Wilder is not Joshua .
Wilders resume isnt fighting ,and outside Joshua you wont find a more dangerous fighter than Ortiz ...... IF he comes to win !
Of course he comes to win, not underrating Ortiz at all. I just don’t think this version of Ortiz wins this fight against this version of Wilder. Maybe am overrating Wilder but I doubt that.

Have you seen Ortiz's resume? You think Wilder's is bad? Ortiz's is atrocious. Ortiz is completely unproven as a pro. He is a fat unproven 38 year old fighter. The last guy he fought was 16-5-1. He has been fighting club level fighters for the last 8 years. How could have he possibly grown as a fighter?
I fear that Ortiz, who is damn near 70, will be too slow to pull the trigger and get caught early. If he weathers the early storm, I can certainly see him drowning Wilder in the later rounds in a methodical manner. He's by far the more skilled technician but it''ll be avoiding that right hand at all costs, and a southpaw, the threat will be there all night.
I haven't to be honest, usually he gets them out early.
I don't think Wilder has stamina issues either but "gets them out early"???? When? Apart from fighting a retired Stiverne, when has he gotten a fighter out early?
He went 12 with Stiverne, then his next 4 fights went between rounds 9-11, it wasnt until Washington that he got a fighter out within 6. Even tha twas a bit of an iffy stoppage but whatever.
So no, he doesn't "usually" stop them early.

I agree. Completely. Ortiz gonna stop him.
