Just got done watching Donta and he's interviewing Crawford's trainer. Both said that before Spence Brook was the best Welterweight. This had me thinking, would Keith had beated the same Brook Spence defeated?
danny at ww isnt a big win. he has done nothing there. even porter is iffy if that is really a big win but danny was a big name not a big win
Good point. Thurman still has top 3 or top 5 resume
its a shame spence cannot get full credit for beating brook because he decided to move up and get his face destroyed. . which is pathetic because he made 147 and didn't look drained to me. i personally give spence full credit but in the history books that win has an asterisk.
i would favor brook over thurman 60-40. i think he's a better boxer. his jab and size would be huge hurdle for keith. sht thurman had to box on the back foot to survive danny i think brook can wear him down. i even see thurman having issues vs peterson to be honest.
thurman has 2 very big wins. but none were emphatic. both danny and porter feel like they're entitled to a rematch. so its not like keith is so far ahead of the pack.

it doesnt have an asterik for me. that was a very very good win for spence as i believe brook that night wouldve beat any top ww at the moment including thurman especially if they fought in brooks backyard like errol had to do.
Would make for a interesting fight for sure. While i agree 147 is too low for Brook, he’s still a good solid boxer with power and technigue. I doubt Thurman would give him a CW above ww limit. If he did, that would probably be a very bad business decision on his part and that “0” would be history.
I think stylistically its an intriguing fight.
I think Thurman is a tiny bit better in the majority of areas that matter in this fight, I think he's a little faster, slightly better feet, hits a touch harder, has a little more variety. Kell might be better technically, throws straighter, is a bit smoother, and physically stronger.
Both guys have proven chins. Both guys can be a little vulnerable to the body.
The kicker is I think Thurman is able to make 147 much better. If you look at Brook's two performances vs Carson Jones, at 147 he went life and death, I always found it interesting that the rematch was at 150 and Kell dominated it. I think for that reason I would lean Thurman by close decision. It would be a chess match, but Thurman's freshness and mental and physical freshness down the stretch gives him a close decision win.
Above 147, say at a catchweight of 150lbs, I think I would lean Kell. That makes sense to me. Welterweight isn't Brook's best weight and he has told us this many times. I would favor Thurman in a close fight for the reasons given here.
