dude all you have to to is use your eyes and you can see that lomachenko is smaller than garcia, and a hell of a lot smaller than crawford. there's actually video of mikey garcia making weight and literally getting carried around a hotel, puking into a lunch box.
who was the more natural FW? he didn't even make weight for this fight, BTW. 2 lbs over :lol1:
go ask any of your favorite pros to go back to fighting amateur, several times a month, and weigh in on the same day. virtually none of them would be in the same weight class. it's actually a sign that lomachenko is a natural 130 lber that he last competed in the amateurs at 132.All am saying is that he is more of a lightweight than a featherweight, and if i go by what you are posting here "pros to go back to fighting amateur, several times a month, and weigh in on the same day. virtually none of them would be in the same weight class." Then lomachenko should be fighting at 140. Common dude, so far he has fought smaller fighters than him, with the exception of salido. I don't see nothing wrong with what he is doing, because he is within the rules. The kid is amazing. lets see what happens when facing fighters on his own weight and just as good as him.
Well he fought at 132lbs in the amateurs. If I recall correctly, they have to weight the same day of the fight, probably just a few hours before their fight. If that is not a natural weight, then you tell me. Really tell me...

The Featherweight division, that Loma competed in, got removed. That is the main reason Loma moved up to 132 in the first place.
People don't know this but Loma was going to compete at Flyweight or Bantamweight at the 07 World Championships and 08 Olympics, but his father made him move up to Featherweight to challenge himself.
In late 2006 Loma was competing at Flyweight.
In that case if every fighter was weighed in a few hours before their fight every fighter would be a weight class or two higher. That is what they do in the amateurs. And not every fighter. for some biological reason, some fighters can trim down and gain the weight back. Others not so much. I like the same day weight in better. I think lomachenko is an amazing talent, and once he start fighting boxers at 135-140 (and I think 140 is a little bit of a stretch) you will see more competitive fights. Of course the opponent have to be good enough, if not, he will steamroll over them.

lomachenko is very comfortable at 130, wasn't at 126 all that long ago, and he'll be 30 in a couple weeks.
how is that a natural lightweight?
i mean really, how is that a natural lightweight?Well he fought at 132lbs in the amateurs. If I recall correctly, they have to weight the same day of the fight, probably just a few hours before their fight. If that is not a natural weight, then you tell me. Really tell me...
i mean FFS these guys cannot use their eyes. lomachenko is a small guy. i had no beef with people calling crawford a big LW, the guy was huge and will finish his career at WW or maybe even 154. look at his bones. muscles and fat can be lost. bones stay the same in your adult life. lomachenko is actually a small guy. again, look at his bones.
these narratives are shaped by epople who don't actually know what a "natural LW" or a "huge 130 lber" is. and of course, they're shaped by the agendas people have. lomachenko is a very good boxer. he's also ukranian and white, and that makes a lot of people on this forum insecure. so they shape these narratives based not on reality, but to detract. so lomachenko is somehow picking on smaller guys, even though he's not, and should fight mikey garcia or terrence crawford, much bigger guys, because they want him to lose.
don't get me wrong, i'd love to see him fight garcia, but he's not picking on smaller guys because he's not. he's actually nota big 130 lber. he's just very, very good at boxing, and in his prime.
The insecurities on both sides are comical. I'm just glad I can appreciate great boxing regardless of skin color, ethnic background, etc. All of that literally should mean nothing to anyone. I like Loma just as much as Crawford, I like Crawford just as much as I liked Pac, I liked Pac just as much as I liked Tim Bradley, I liked Bradley just as much as I liked Kelly Pavlik... boxing is boxing.
I hate the whole "natural (insert weight class here)" stuff. If a fighter can make the weight, that's his damn weight class. Plain and simple.

I know you are sarcastic but lomachenko is a natural lightweight. ggg is not a massive mw and has kept his weight for all his career, props to him...

Red k because I think you're an idiot. It's just my opinion though.
Red k? How old are you, 13 or 14? I don't care about internet points, bring some arguments to the table instead of insults and we can have a discussion.
What makes Linares special in your opinion? If not handspeed?
Well, a least they are the same weight. Rigondeaux is a midget compare to those two. And I know he disgracefully quit. So please save your remarks about GR quitting job.
Linares will be the much bigger man in the ring, that won't help him. It's not about size, it's about skill and neither Rigondeaux nor Linares come close to Lomachenko, sorry.
You’re ignorant to boxing skills if all you see in Linares is speed.
Handspeed is clearly Linares' standout quality. His "boxing skills" are average at world level, nothing special. Handspeed makes him look good. Similar to Khan. But Khan boxed at a much higher level obviously.
I've high hopes it will be next. Snake Arum is negotiating with Linares's co-promoter Akihirko Honda to have it on ESPN either on April 28 or May 12. Bitter Arum didn't want to talk to Oscar first.
It will be another highly entertaining fight between 2 skilled fighters after the Boringoquitter fight.
I scoffed at the way Mikey won the belt
Mikey won the belt by knocking out the undefeated champion that Linares ducked.
Linares won the vacant belt from the trash against a fighter with 24 wins in 33 fights.
This can't end well for you. I've got you.
Linares earned the title fair and square as per Ring rules.
But Ring rules were changed after Linares' promoter bought the magazine. The Ring rules no longer have anything to do with the lineal title. The Ring rules make no sense and are selectively enforced to benefit HBO and harm Showtime. The most credible members of the Ring ratings advisory board quit in disgust when Linares' promoter started interfering with the ratings and they started the TBRB as a replacement.
Anybody pointing to Ring instead of TBRB is being fooled by the HBO propaganda machine. Ring is literally owned by HBO's lead promoter. How can you point to Ring as an independent arbiter when it's not independent?
No. He became champion when he won the title and stopped being champion when he vacated. He's had two years to fight the champion since and makes excuses over and over. Stop trying to create an alternate universe. You scoffed at the diamond belt when you thought Mikey had it, then started insisting it was a real belt when you found out Linares had it. You're trapped man. Quit while you're ahead. You lost all credibility the second you mentioned the ring belt. Which is literally owned by Linares' promoter.
I scoffed at the way Mikey won the belt not the title of the belt. Linares had it first, stayed in the division, got injured, beat another champion for more money than was available with Zlatcinin and Mikey called for the fight and for his own reasons declined it. Linares earned the title fair and square as per Ring rules. He became #1 in the division legitimately (weak division but still..) and beat the #2 which is clear ring policy so saying that the Ring manufactured that for Linares is also another lie.
Linares was the champion since the last guy moved out of the division

But Linares himself got it out of the dumpster!!! Look at all the nuthugging you're doing. You totally flip positions when you find out Linares did what you accused others of.
DIAMOND TITLE SUCKS when you think Mikey has it. DIAMOND TITLE IS GREAT when you think Linares has it.
TITLE OUT OF GARBAGE when you think Mikey won a vacant title, LINARES WAS THE CHAMPION when you find out Linares won a vacant title.
Mikey had no power to stop purse bids. He is not the mandatory. Linares is.
LINARES HAS HAD TWO YEARS TO ASK FOR A PURSE BID. LONG BEFORE MIKEY WAS EVEN THE CHAMPION.
Wake up and smell the roses dude . . .
Again, Linares stayed in the division, Figueroa didn't. I'm not a linares fan (I'm actually more of a Mikey fan). Again, stop lying about me saying the diamond belt is great. I didn't even say the WBC belt is great at any point so stop lying. Linares was the champion since the last guy moved out of the division and then beat another champion in a more lucrative match and this was all signed, sealed and delivered before Mikey had even fought at 135.
my point is that Linares was the champion and Mikey got his title from a dude who got it out the dumpster
