That just means more gold medals for the former Soviet Union Republics in the Olympics
The WBC President recent visit to Azerbaijan was no coincidence. He went to a country that never had a world champions in the professionals but has lots of oil.
They all need money
Well, on a more positive note, at least they said he is one of the leaders of organized crime. He snuffed the Italian cat for the job..... unexpected resignation was all I needed to hear! Lol
I might actually trust the organized crime guy to run it better. He has experience running a crew of rogues and criminals and has obviously been successful at it, so his organizational skills are certainly a step in the right direction for AIBA.
He seems like a man that can get things done, so if he can get everyone aligned through cracking some skulls (or threatening to crack some skulls) rather than a few groups pulling in different directions that is probably a step forward.
Plus a known organized crime figure is going to know at least to make it appear legitimate, not just blatant corruption out in the open that is pretty much how AIBA has been for decades.
