Have you ever seen a boxer this feared before? It's insane!
Thurman refused to fight Spence, even when promised he would get a Mayweather fight by doing it!
Not to mention Porter, Garcia, Horn and Pacquiao running scared... He is in one of the deepest divisions in boxing, yet he is feared by everyone there!
i knew people were going to get carried away with him beating petersonIt's not that he beat Peterson because almost everyone knew in advance he would slaughter Peterson. It's the fact that only Peterson was willing to try to take his title. The other top guys like Porter and Garcia who had no world title didn't want to try get a world title from Spence. They held out for the safer route of rematching Thurman.
I wouldn't say all that. He just isn't worth the risk right now. Just like Thurman not too long ago. Just like GGG. Plenty of fighters go thru this.
Obviously no one is chomping at the bits to fight him at the moment, but his time will come.
Pretty sure Saunders signed a contract to fight him in Kazakhstan but then GGG didn't fight and waited for the Canelo fight..Yes that is true but I said years ago and years ago Saunders wanted no part of GGG. Better late than never.
Stop it. If you knew boxing you'd know Spence just isn't a big enough draw yet for guys to be desperate to fight him. If that's what you call fear then Lara is the most feared man in history.
That big enough draw crap is nonsense. He just sold the same amount of tickets fighting Peterson, as Thurman and Porter did fighting each other, and that was viewed as a competitive fight. Spence-Porter does bigger numbers than Thurman-Porter did, and Spence-Garcia does the same or better as Thurman-Garcia.
There is no Mayweather golden ticket out there for any of these boys. If guys are still unwilling to fight Errol at this point, let's call it what it is.
If you mean "GGG" when you say "Spence", then yes, he is. Otherwise shut the **** up white boy!
Spence has Charlo, Jacobs, Derevyanchenko and Crawford problems. One day everyone between 147 to 168 can get it, the other day he turns down Cotto for a multi million dollar payday.
I think that was Andy Lee mate.
Nope, it was definitely Saunders.
He signed a contract to fight GGG at EXPO17 in Astana, Kazakhstan. But then Golden Boy basically stipulated to GGG/K2 that if he wants the fight in Sep '17 against Canelo, he shouldn't fight in June 2017. Saunders had agreed terms and signed his half of the deal.

Spence is throwing back fighter from 80 s , Like old middle weight s and HWs .... He wants to fight every second and wants to hurt you or you hurt him . Alot f fighters and fans got used to hit and not be hit styles but ES either hates that style or doesn't have the pedigree to do it !! Crawford Thurman or Loma !! That's why Crawford vs Spence is an interesting fight for fans and the fighters , which style wins ? Going be fun !!
Only GGG was this feared in my memory two or three years ago. Eubank, Saunders, Cotto and Martinez all refused to fight him when they were champions or top contenders. Just like Spence he had to take whatever fights he could get even though he tried to fight the best middleweights.

GGG was in the same boat not long ago being avoided by plenty of fighters until his name got built up and him v Canelo was the only match to make. Canelo could no longer take another fight without losing all credibility.
Spence can get his big fights, it'll just be a similar case i.e someone like Thurman being backed into a corner to the point where no other fight will suffice and the money is right.
The problem is if Spence v Thurman/Crawford etc. ever draw HUGE money to where no guy can turn it down? None of them are crossover stars. They're big names amongst boxing fans but the casual sports fan doesn't know them and that's where the real money comes from.
GGG v Canelo always had a bit of crossover appeal and was a fight that generates big money. I just don't see that happening with any of the current 147 fighters unless the TV networks do a great job of building their name and the fighters stay active, which is another problem...
Pretty much. Like GGG he's high risk low reward. Like some dummies were saying before GGG the most ducked fighter ever, now we got the other side of the dummies saying Spence is.
