It's like Spence is being placed on this high pedestal without fighting anyone spectacular. Brook was weight drained, Algeri was overrated, Bundu was pass it, Peterson had lost to many other greats before, yet Spence is now being ranked as an unbeatable force. We saw the same thing with GGG now we are seeing it with Spence. Is this pay back for all the years GGG was being hyped on this site?
There is a difference between being excited about an up and coming fighter and over hyping. The WW division will come down to two fighters by end of 2019, Spence and Crawford. Hopefully they will be on a collision course and one of them becomes undisputed champ of the division.

of course he is.
if GGG was Black, Larry would throw buck neked parties every fight.
it benefits the sport in so many ways to over hype fightes.
My question, why was this fight so hyped? Lamont never had a chance at his age
So he need to figth the 30 and under guys
Terence Crawford 32-23 (23kos)
Rashidi Ellis 18-0 (12kos) 23 yrs old
Keith Thurman 28-0 (22kos) 29 yrs old
Jeff Horn 18-0-1 (12kos)
Kudratillo Abdukakhorov 13-0 (9kos)
Zhankosh Turarov 22-0 (15kos) 26 yrs old
Julian Rodriguez (16-0-10KOs) 23 yrs old
Konstantin Ponomarev 32-0 (12kos)
I don't thinking anyone is hyping Spence up. Golovkin was being hyped when he was beating up mediocre opponents. Everyone was down playing Spence's win over Algieri, Bundu, and even Brook. Three solid wins for a fighter that just stopped being a prospect. I'm sure they'll be people down playing the win last night.
In terms of race, a black fighter getting some attention is not the same as a white fighter getting attention.
There's a reason it's called "The Great White Hope" and not the other way around.
It's not a race/color thing, it's more that big punchers and exciting destroyer type fighters always get a lot of hype. Not a bad thing at all, these guys make boxing extremely interesting with their style.
the trouble is spence is a good puncher not a big puncher. years ago matthysse a 140 lb fighter KO'd Peterson with one punch. I like spence so far he seems like a nice kid the opposite of froid
So now you're backing off the claim that the "vast majority" of Golovkin fans like Spence?
Knew you would because it's bull****.
Fuck me, man. You're like rust.
OK poll up. If I'm wrong I'll man up and admit that I utterly misjudged the tone and feelings of the posts I've read relating to the matter. I won't ask the same from you.
I remember the threads and posts Dramashow made calling Spence an hypejob etc. Dramashow isn't the majority/most of Golovkins fans as you claimed.:dunce:
You made a claim you can't back up. Don't do it in future if you don't want to be called on it.
 Is that Isaac trying to put me in my place?
Whatever, man. Anyway. I'm a fan of Golovkin and Spence. Anyone else can speak for themselves. Or maybe you'd care to stick up a poll?
You made the claim. Show us the posters/posts of these Golovkin fans liking Spence. You're full of shit.
 Maybe. And maybe you're full of spite and vitriol and have a distorted view of reality. Do your own fuckin legwork, man. I don't care enough about your opinion to waste my time on it.
EDIT: I mean wtf? you actually have DramaShow telling you he likes Spence and you telling him he's lying. Honestly what's the point in even talking to you, man.
I don't think he's getting that much hype, some but not on the level Golovkin was or even Broner was and his win over Brook is a pretty damn good win.
But the Brook fight did show his flaws. He has a very wide stance, he likes to be set to punch and likes to get off first. Brook showed when he's pushed back and beaten to the punch he can struggle. Had Brook not gassed and his eye not been damaged it would of been a much tougher fight.
Spence is very good but I think he'll fall short of some peoples expectations,
What a load of bollocks.
Which ones don't? Which posters have expressed the opinion that Spence is not good or very good, or that they don't like him? Best I can see most like him but are also warning against getting too carried away. Much like some folk were warning not to get too carried away with Golovkin.
Just goes to prove what I always said - all you fanboys and haters are just different sides of the same coin.
GGG pretty much cleaned out the division and was at one time, fighting 3 times a year. Spence arrived at the world level 8 months ago and is just having his first defence...against Peterson lol
Anyway I like Spence but he has to fight 2 more times this year with no gimmes, make it Thurman and whoever is left in the division (wont be TC because of obvious reasons).
While I'm not particularly interested in the skin tone or ethnicity of the posters on here, it is remarkable how two fighters with some very notable similarities in both style and attributes can be so polarising, isn't it? What I am noting is that the vast majority of GGG fans seem also to like Spence, whereas the inverse does not seem to hold.
