These changes are very essential, if boxing ever wants to evolve as a sport.
1: PEDs need to be allowed. It's unfair for the few clean fighters who go by the rules, that everyone else is taking PEDs while PEDs are outlawed. If we allow PEDs, we will have an even playing field for everyone and a much more honest sport. How long are we gonna bash Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez and the other "cheaters" for merely doing what everyone needs to do to remain competitive? And who isn't sick of fights being cancelled because of testing?
2: I like that there are multiple belts in boxing, but there are so many that it has become a joke. The maximum amount of belts should be 3 and no other belts should carry ANY official relevance, nor be recognized by anyone besides the stupid ****s who would ruin boxing by introducing more belts. Trust me... If only 3 belts were in each division, it would make things much more interesting.
3: We need less weight classes and we need a more logical way of dividing them. For example... 151-160 lbs should be middleweight, 161-170 lbs should be super middleweigt, 171-180 lbs should be light heavyweight, 181-200 lbs should be cruiserweight. These kind of changes would minimize the weight whining significantly and give us much richer divisions.
4: Referees should NOT be allowed to stop the fight. If the guy is injured enough, he will fall, and if he refuses to fall, he has chosen his pride above his health. We should all have that choice, inside and outside the ring. His corner could throw in the towel, but the referee should NEVER interfere. I'm sick and tired of situations like Froch-Groves 1... Fans pay for this ****. It isn't finished until it's finished and the referee should NOT decide when it's finished. Boxing referees remind of a grandmas who can't stand watching a fight...
5: We need 5 judges instead of 3 and we need more anti-corruption measures to ensure that we do not get corrupt decisions.
well. we may disagree on some things, but it seems like we all agree that changes are necessary...
Yes. All sports change over time. Evolve if you will. Boxing seems to evolve very little.
There's always going to be a lag when it comes to PED -> Testing. It takes time for the testing to develop for that new PED.
I would like more tournaments. There should be 2 or 3 tournaments each year in different weight classes that promote competition and crown a definitive champion.
I'd like there to be an OT round in the event of a draw scored. Don't cut off the gloves until the scorecards are read. Just one more, 2 minute round would be sufficient for me. Also, I would like there to be an odd number of rounds for fights. It would lessen the likelihood of a draw being scored.
I remember someone here a long time ago mentioned a farm league system. I really liked it. There would just need to be some type of hard, objective criteria for moving fighters to the next level. That would help eliminate the mismatches we see. Obviously, this system could be manipulated, but it should HELP make the sport more competitive in nature. Might make the sport more complicated, but IDK. I'd like to see it implemented or tested out somewhere.
These changes are very essential, if boxing ever wants to evolve as a sport.
1: PEDs need to be allowed.
Ok. You will lose me and many others who have no interest in watching chemists compete, but the 'sport' may still be viable once we go. However, the lawsuits will finish it within 15-20 years however.
2: The maximum amount of belts should be 3 and no other belts should carry ANY official relevance
The belts are just straps of leather. The only significance is that the watching public invests in them and as long as tickets are sold there will continue to be spurious bodies awarding spurious belts. Vote with your feet/wallet.
3: We need less weight classes and we need a more logical way of dividing them.
Again, the lawsuits will come thick and fast once bigger disparities result mismatches then fatalities / serious injury.
4: Referees should NOT be allowed to stop the fight.
A recipe for the end of boxing in the Western world. Lawyers would love your changes.
5: We need 5 judges instead of 3 and we need more anti-corruption measures to ensure that we do not get corrupt decisions.
I don't know how more judges will deliver better results other than making it harder for the promoters to buy sufficient off? Anything that improves the murky world of judging gets my vote however.
I don't want to be overly negative. I get you want to improve things, but I don't think your changes are anything other than a recipe for the death of boxing. Think about the legal aspects if nothing else. We live in a litigious world after all!
1. Eliminate the Networks from having the overall control they have over Promoters and vice versa. All fighters should have the ability to fight on any Network ala College Football, Basketball, NFL, NBA.
2. Have a Universally recognized ranking system (not Ring, ESPN, WBC, etc) that creates a legit pecking order for World Title fights.
i would rather see computers replace judges, a comp will always be more objective. and the loser of a close fight won't feel like he got cheated.
The issue with that will be insane. First someone has to input the rules of what to score as what which we might not agree with then the computer has to map out all the difference of what is going on in the ring like if that weak flurry was worth the point or the hard clean punch. We can then consider hacking which will be another mega fear.
No computers please!

I agree with only 2 and 3, the rest are flawed.
Rather than allow PEDs, why not make mandatory test for boxers especially ranked boxers all year round including the use of opponent's private doctor. Imagine if Canelo's doctor can walk into GGG's room and take samples for blood test with the results compared with whatever the organizations produced.
Not all fighters fall immediately they are hurt or even KO'd. There are loads of fights were the fighter fell on the ropes or is trapped in the corner unconscious while the opponent just fires more punches. An extra one punch can be the difference between full recovery and partial recovery or even death.
The 5th issue about judges really doesn't matter. There can be 5 or 99 judges and the result will be the same. Rather there should be "blind judges" were the judges are picked from a huge poll of qualified judges and the fighters nor their teams won't know who till fight night.
WBSS has the right idea for judges but they haven't had to use it yet. They have a 4th judge, if its a draw it goes to his scorecard.what if that judge scorecard reads 114-114?
#1 is not fair for anyone no one should be allowed to cheat they should get ban for life less weight classes would be ideal but first u need to get rid off this greedy promoters and organizations that are ruining boxing judges will get fix when corruption gets fix as simple as that so your only logical one in here is the judges everything else makes no sense.
