Have any of you even seen his past fights or bothered to look at his record?
Since Horn was 13-0 he's been fighting really big names and winning.
I know Randall is old, but he made that fool quit on his stool at 13-0.
15-0 he tko'd Funeka and 16-0 he beat Pacquiao.
Name me one fighter that's beat that many champs by 18-0? FMJ, RJJ don't have better resumes at that stage of their career's. I think anyone will be hard pressed to do so.
Still in the prospect stage which is very amazing.
Horn does some very advanced footwork for his stage like moving to the right against an orthodox fighter. Very few fighers in history do that.
I have seen him fight twice. I don't think he is very good. I thought his win over Pacquiao was a robbery aided by a ref that let Horn fight dirty as hell. I think Crawford will slaughter him, win every round and knock him out. After he loses to Crawford I don't expect him to ever be a world champion again. He was held to a draw by a nobody in Australia. I don't agree that he is much of a threat to any top 6 welterweight on neutral ground. In Australia anything can happen.
He's not a "bad" fighter but he's being given pats on the back over a controversial win over a very past prime Legend. When I look at guys like Thurman, Spence, Crawford, hell even someone like Sadam Ali or Jessie Vargas, I'd pick all of those guys to beat Horn. Outside of Manny he hasn't fought 1 top 10 Legit Welter in their primes but he's gonna give the Welters mentioned problems let alone beat them, Crawford for starters?

On the same boat as this guy.
I watched his most recent fight vs Corcoran and was not impressed.
Who knows, maybe he'll surprise us all and bring the fight to Crawford but even if that happens - it won't be enough to beat him.
I just see it as a one-sided contest, and Crawford using the fight to show the 147 division that he is a major threat.
OP is right. Horn is WAY better than most people give him credit for but his athleticism isn't nearly as good as Pacquiao's. However, he is much bigger, stronger and younger than Pacquaio. I also think he is a fairly intelligent fighter with lots of heart...He will be a tough opponent for most of the top guys.
You don't see any paralells with his style and Pacquiao's style?
What makes or made Manny Pacquiao special?
Ok he's got some power, good hand speed, pretty tough, southpaw --- but none of those attributes make him special.
What makes Pacquiao special is his tempo and the offbeat rhythm of his timing. He'll shuffle back and throw some weird áss angle uppercut with enough beef on it to rattle your brains. Even though I despise Pacquiao, he does have champion qualities.
Horn has odd timing as well. He throws combinations in weird positons and unexpected places. Offbeat and awkward Boxers are naturally difficult even if they're overall B-Level in skill. You end up spending half the fight adjusting to them.
You're going to tell me this isn't right out of Pacquiao's playbook?
This right hand lead is unique in the sense that nobody bobs and weaves out that way. RJJ throws that same punch (lol) but will weave right not left. This is what I'm talking about how he's putting himself in unexpected places.
No. Maybe the earliest, crudest forum of Pac. But, Horn has none of the athleticism or grace of motion of even that early Pac. I honestly thought you were joking in the above post. Even in those gifs, I see a guy whose arms are flailing, chin is out, and is violating all fundamentals. A guy like Crawford will simply murder a clown who doesn't keep his free hand up to protect his chin, or hunches his upper-body so far over his center.
If you honestly think you see some level of technique in Horn, I'll respectfully agree to disagree and we can leave it at that.
He fights like he has down syndrome.

Any good smart fighter will take care of him as long as they're not over the hill, like Manny was. Manny was never the most intelligent fighter anyway, he himself struggled with smart boxers.
Happy to be proven wrong but Crawford will be leagues above him and any of the other top WW's now would be too.
He isn't athletically blessed, doesn't have great hand and foot speed/dexterity,
I think his footwork is pretty good.
lol..........
You laugh now Larry so lets pick this back up after the Crawford fight.
