Lennox Lewis VS Deontay Wilder

This poll should tell you who 92% of posters think would win that fight. Wilder is OK and he hits very hard but I think Lewis is equal or better than Wilder in every aspect of boxing. Lewis hit just as hard as Wilder with much better punching form, timing and accuracy. Lewis was KOed twice when he got careless but I still think he had a better chin than Wilder. He also had a much better defense than Wilder. He was just as big and fast as Wilder with equal stamina. Lewis avenged both his only defeats by KO. He defeated far better opponents than Wilder has ever fought. Lewis by KO in my opinion.

Wilder is packing glass and lacking fundamentals. Briggs would KO him, let alone Lewis.

Other than Lewis coming over confident and under prepared and Wilder landing a hail Mary of a right hand I can't see how Wilder wins. In a hypothetical match up you compare two fighters at their very best, not one at their best and the other at their very worst. Lewis at his best likely KO's Wilder inside 2 rounds. He took the fight to taller heavyweights and with a 20-30lbs weight advantage he would manhandle and rag doll Wilder on the inside. Much like the Grant fight he'd over power Wilder without much of a struggle.

Lewis. Probably in the first or second round. He'd put the jab out there not be able to miss and then sleep him with a right. Wilder is trash. Lewis was very good.

true. snd what if wilder does something stupid? Both entirely possible, but I’ve never seen Wilder do something stupid like take a jab, lower his guard and smile like Lewis did against Rahman. Wilder strikes me as a fighter who plays the arrogant card on social media and in interviews to sell tickets and promote himself. Lewis was arrogant in the ring and it cost him.

Lennox is one of THE heavyweights. This fight wouldn't last long.

Christ, I’m getting old. Do you guys realize how good Lennox Lewis was? Yup... The guy has a solid argument to be included in the top 5 HWs of all time, with nearly everyone putting him in the top 10. It’s a shame the division has been sub par for so long. I’d argue it’s even worse now than it was in 2009/10..

Deontay Wilder knocks Lennox Lewis out worse than Rahman or Mccall did. The knockout comes between the 3rd - 6th round where Lennox Lewis gets carried out on a stretcher like how Artur Szpilka did. Lennox Lewis was a hype job just like how Anthony Joshua is right now. Deontay Wilder is simply the FAR superior athlete. With superior punching power, speed, footwork, stamina and etc. Lennox Lewis's punch power was also non-existent in the later rounds. But as Deontay Wilder has already proven against Artur Szpilka, Wilder not only possesses his punch power, but concussive power, all the way up to the championship rounds. Lennox Lewis simply comes from an inferior breed. Deontay Wilder is simply too modern of an athlete, too evolved and too advanced for someone like Lewis to stand much of a chance against. lewis was good during his time. If Lewis messes around he can get caught and ktfo. I don't think Lewis would have trouble with the jab. Lewis had a better jab tbh and those wild right hands would be perfect for him to time Wilder IMO. Perhaps an Ocean 11 Lewis would lose, but definitely not a fit one... in fact the power, toughness and skills these older heavyweights had in the era before, KO percentages in AJ and Wilder would be a lot worse IMO. I mean they are big, but would they even be champs if they had to face the top guys?
