I think it's about a tie. Neither have very good chins for heavyweight champions and both punch very hard. AJ has better technique and defense and Wilder is faster with more stamina and a higher punch output per round.
AJ can be hurt but he has a decent chin, it has to be decent to be able to take that shot from Klitschko.. That shot should have slept pretty much every other fighter. We haven't seen Wilder's chin get checked by a power hitter (because he hasn't fought any good fighters) but he got dropped by Harrold Sconiers a journeyman with 20% KO rate and he had to be saved by the bell so his chin could crumble once a power puncher lands on it.
Either guy can KO the other but Wilder is more open to being hit as he has absolutely zero defence and his chin is just up in the air.
AJs chin is really suspect. He's been hurt by all kinds of guys. Wilder's seems to be pretty average. Both are about equally vulnerable thought because Wilder doesn't protect his chin but AJ has reasonable defense.
