Bigger chance: Crawford outboxing Spence or Spence knocking out Crawford?

I'm more interested in this fight, than Spence vs. No Smoke, and both guys are in it to unify, and have actually spoken about fighting each other. As long as the network thing can be worked out, I don't see any reason why the fight can't be made. As for the outcome, I favor Spence because he's the bigger guy, and although he wins most fights by stoppage, his boxing skills are underrated. Bud is also the truth. Close fight.

I hope this fight happens before Spence outgrows 147 but I'm fine with a little marination. Late 2019 sounds perfect especially if both are able to raise their profiles. Spence by beating Thurman, Crawford by beating Horn (I know, but it's a belt) and Pacquaio (I know, but casual fans know the name as evidenced by the ratings vs. Horn). It could really be a huge fight. Crawford has the style advantage. He is the more well rounded fighter. Has better defense, more dimensions and is probably the best fighter in the world at making in fight adjustments. Spence is a bit more single minded in his approach. A bit more methodical, easier to hit and slower on his feet. He does have a size advantage though and Crawford isn't used to fighting normal sized welterweights, much less elite level huge welterweights who can crack. I see a feel out couple of rounds perhaps 1-1 and then Crawford taking over with his speed, use of angles and movement. He'd probably be up around 5-2 and then Spence closes the gap and slows Crawford down with his body attack and then it becomes a more even fight down the stretch. However, Crawford being such a smart and adjustable fighter I think avoids any real danger and deals with the change in pace and wins enough rounds late to secure a clear cut decision around 116-112.

I like Crawford. He's clearly the better boxer of the two. However, Spence is a huge WW that already proved he can wear down other big WWs. He was getting out boxed (to a certain extent) by Brook but he wore him down and forced him to quit. Crawford hasn't faced anyone with the size and the ability to apply pressure like Spence. Crawford should be the slight favorite but he'll have to take the fight out of Spence. No one was able to do it so far.

When there is projected outcome somewhat in balance, the rule of thumb is to go with naturally bigger fighter.

I voted Spence wins by KO. I don't know why you set the poll up with only two options. Spence is quite capable of winning on points. He is a skillful boxer as well as a big puncher. Crawford is quite capable of winning by KO as his many KO wins show. Yeah the notion that Spence has to beat him by KO is wrong. If he can hurt Bud then Buds so called boxing advantage might just be used for survival not winning.

I'd imagine that Crawford could stop Spence as well as outbox him.

Spence can't and won't be nt ko tc. It's impossible. I've grown to like spence but he is too slow and too easy a target. The big question is, will this fight ever happen?

I don't know what Bud can do at 47 but for someone to say he would K.O. Errol is just talkin smack. I wouldn't be surprised if Errol stops him.

More likely for Crawford to outbox Spence. Crawford’s chin has been solid. On the other hand, Spence is a big 147 and Crawford is coming from 140, so I do wonder about how that might affect the match. The smaller Crawford will feel those bodyshots from Spence. Interesting matchup, hope it happens soon.
