the letter grading system is a tough one....everybody grades differently
but if you were giving lemiuex a letter grade would you consider him C level or B level?
im having a hard time...i think he really toes the line right in between them....tough to tell for me....could go either way
but i think, gun to my head, id go with C
ahahah...like who?
id love to hear that...seriously
wilders resume is very similar to when you take ggg and saunders out of the equation...both who beat lemiuex with ease
who are these great fighters hes been fighting? rubio and alcine? curtis "i lost to two club fighters" stevens? glen "i got knocked out in my previous fight which was at 154" tapia? gabe "everyone beats me" rosado?
LOL
you are one delusional fella arent ya
Oh so Rubio is a bad fighter?
Is Hector Camacho Jr bad?
N'Dam?
C level who had potential to be a solid B if he'd worked on his shortcoming instead of relying on power alone. Even now, he's making excuses and probably hasn't even analysed the fight honestly to see areas for improvement.
The way i view it is, if you cant beat lemiuex you will never be a legitimate world class fighter. If you can beat him, you have potential to be a good fighter. he is an excellent gatekeeper like darnell boone in the lhw division.
david lemieux is a much better fighter than darnell boone. boone has power and has upsets and good performances against good fighters, but he's literally got a losing record. he's got losses to guys you've never heard of. lemieux is limited without a doubt, but boone is a journeyman in the truest sense of the word and has more losses than wins.
boone's a stepping stone and a test, he's not a TV gatekeeper in the sense that he's a guy who gets on TV and guys go through for title shots.
yeah i get ur point...i dont disagree with you
but that was specifically target at chris....he claims that lemiuex has beaten several guys who are better than guys on wilders resume....im trying to figure out who those guys are?
take saunders and ggg off lemiuexs resume and his is very similar to deontay wilders IMO...what do u think?
I totally agree. He lost to both, as well, so we don't even need to take those off!
I also think Szpilka is better than anyone Lemieux has beaten.
This can be said about most of the guys you told me you thought were A and A+ fighters.

well....i cant really argue against that.....it makes some sense
I thought so.
Whoever wins between Loma and Mikey is a truly an A fighter, IMO. Same for Spence-Crawford.
oh chris...im waiting
who are the great guys that lemiuex has beaten that are better than the guys on wilders resume?

I don't agree. To each his own, tho.
Which of the bunch has beaten a true elite A fighter? None. They still have ways to go.
We can't be throwing "greatness" around without deserving it.
well....i cant really argue against that.....it makes some sense
i think its safe to put loma and crawford up there for sure....kovalev, ggg, canelo are there IMO....case can be made for mikey and a few others

No. Not even before Jacobs,...at least I don't think so. For some reason, people don't realize that fighters are always learning and adapting to other fighters styles. Would GGG be any different? I don't dismiss the "draw" between GGG and Canelo with the excuse GGG was getting old and "slipping" as a so called expert like Lampley have stated. If we all believed in every word we hear from network puppets, we'd be in a world of ****. Yes his level of completion has risen in his last two fights, and with that I think GGG, with his experience and vast amateur pedigree, can and will adapt his strategy for a future rematch with Canelo and maybe DJ.
bro
most of gggs fans on here believe hes slowing down ...not sure how much you are around or read but alot of them have been saying...not just lampley but others involved in the fight game from trainers, promoters to fighters have been saying it too....im not saying you are wrong...maybe gggs best is yet to come....just doesnt seem to jive with what most others are saying
so if you dont think lemiuex was gggs best win before jacobs who would you say was?
He's definitely a C-level fighter. His best win is Gabe Rosado.
Everyone has beat Rosado.
I consider N'Dam as Lemieux's best win. I rate him a B- fighter.
most people wouldn't because there are a lot of GGG's fanatics that won't admit that one of GGG's biggest win is vs a c level guy. but yeah, he is average at best. he just happens to hit really hard. but the guy got beaten up before golovkin, lemieux has almost no boxing abilities.
i think most already acknowledge jacobs is golovkins best win....when people bring lemiuex into they say "best win before jacobs".........and when you think about it...if lemiuex is his best win before jacobs thats kind of weak....which is why many arent big believers in golovkin as some monster
you believe golovkins "best is yet to come" eh? wow...ok...maybe youre right....but that seems to go against what most are thinking these days...and even his own fans dont really believe what you said.....they often try to excuse the canelo fight by saying "canelo waited for him to get old"....even lampley says there are signs of slippage

Lemieux has been in with much better opponents and has beaten much better opponents than Wilder.

if wilder and lemiuex were similar wilder would have probably lost to someone like audley harrison years ago...but he hasnt lost to anyone
