Ffs GGG had grey hair and was balding, also had a beer belly.
It was like watching Canelo beat up an old pensioner.

You obviously haven't been paying attention. Mayweather was prime at 38.
Lmfao Floyd was far from prime at 38. Floyd was prime in his late 20’s. He is just skilled bro
End of prime but not quite "old" yet. I didn't see much that changed in him. The main difference was that his opponent was better. Fans have a really hard time seeing things like that for some reason.
He still beat both of them so I don’t see the problem. Some homers are just delusional. I love ggg but I can’t wait for him to lose
A lot of talk about Mayweather being in his prime in his late 30s. The younger Mayweather to me was s better fighter. He was faster, hit harder and wasn't afraid to mix it up.

No Mayweather was better when he was younger. He punched harder was faster and wasn't afraid to mix it up. Its possible that fighting bigger guys forced him to change his style but to me the younger lighter Mayweather was a better fighter.

Yes of course he is old. 35 is old for a boxer. It always has been and it always will be. Prime is 25 to 30. Some boxers are still damn good at 35 but not as good as when they were 30. The great Ray Leonard was shot to hell at 35. He was slaughtered by Norris when he was 33 I think. Hopkins, Stevenson and Mayweather are the exceptions not the rule.
Never wavered from this since the first time I saw him fight. All hype, no substance. Excuses, excuses, excuses...
I think he’s an excellent fighter. I also wonder how the hell ESPN elevated him to top 3 with that resume.
Before Jacobs fough Golovkin he said GGG's best days were behind him. When Canelo fought GGG Chepo tried saying Golovkin was in his prime. Jacobs was honest at least.
Just as likely as those saying GGG wasn't that good to begin with.

I thought the matchup was quite even overall and a draw was probably accurate. Neither fully took control of the fight and for me, it's just what happens when the best fight the best. Can't KO everyone.
While GGG obviously nearing elder age in boxing, Canelo has not yet entered his prime (crazy when you think about that and all his name opponents). I'd expect Canelo to win a UD in the rematch but both still cautious of each other's power.
Of course he is old. He's 35 years old about to turn 36.
Anyone that tries to act like he's physically the same as he was 5-6 years ago is just being a biased hater.
Recovery takes longer as you age.
Testosterone production in males begins declining.
And so forth...

Remember GGG built that reputation vs 2nd and 3rd rate fighters (plus a welterweight). In his last two GGG hasn't looked as impressive but Jacobs and Canelo are worlds better than his other opponents.
As somewhat of a GG fan, that sh1t was hard to watch....
