Out of interest what is everyone’s view of top10 currently? For me probably: Joshua Wilder Parker Fury Pulev Povetkin Breazeale Takam Whyte Ruiz

How do they choose a top ten with about 20+ members , doesn’t make sense. I mean there is no way 10+ would have Ortiz rank2 and povetkin rank 1 at any point last year. Ok with klistchko being inactive but other rankings still have fury top dog in some cases so at least they are sticking to their own rules unlike the ring for example. Wilder has faced a top 3 opponent before and dominated them. Joshua has never faced a top 3 opponent. TBRB had him #3 and had King Kong #2, even though when the fight was signed, the bookies favored Wilder. King Kong has been removed from the ratings due to the drug test failure, but many experts do consider King Kong #2. So Wilder should be applauded for being so anxious to fight him. Only a wilder fan could claim klitschko wasn't top3 lol. What experts have Ortiz top two in the world? I would expect most to have a selection of (in most likely order) Joshua, Fury, Parker and Wilder. Can't see how anyone else, other than if klitschko returns, would make top2 for any expert?

Rankings are just people's opinions really. And the world's leading experts all had Stiverne #2 or #3 in the world when Wilder shut him out. So when Wilder haters try to rewrite history, we should point out the facts. The facts are that Wilder and AJ have both largely feasted on the same caliber of opponent. But Wilder actually fought a top guy while he was on top. AJ hasn't done that yet. He's about to in his next fight and we expect AJ to destroy Parker. But until he does, he hasn't actually beaten a top opponent. He gets a lot of credit for the Klitschko win because Klitschko is a big name. It's emotionally swaying. But logically, Klitschko was old, coming off a verrrrry long layoff, and on top of that, he was coming off a loss where he was convincingly defeated. And he struggled in his most recent win. So Klitschko was several years removed from looking like himself. He was understandably removed from the rankings after the loss and long layoff. But how many would claim Stiverne being the bigger test over Wlad?? Not one. Other than you of course. Haha We're not saying Stiverne was a bigger test. We're just saying that those claiming Wilder has never fought a top opponent are very hypocritical because Wilder has actually fought one. It's AJ that has yet to. The top four heavyweights in the world will be fighting each other in March. So a lot of this arguing is silly. People just like to hate on Wilder because they know he is AJ's biggest threat and they have to downplay Wilder's accomplishments to justify delaying the Wilder fight. If AJ beats Parker and Wilder beats Ortiz, it will be clearer than ever that AJ & Wilder are the two best fighters in the world. Hopefully they'll fight next after that.

Right, but he could have easily signed to fight Martin instead and either gotten an exemption to unify, or simply been stripped for ducking Povetkin while easily picking up the IBF. But he didn't do that. He showed no fear and agreed to go to Russia, even though the corruption there makes any robbery that's ever happened in the US or UK look like child's play. Until Ortiz's recent drug test failure, TBRB had Ortiz #2 in the world (with AJ #1 and Wilder #3). So with AJ preferring to fight Wilder later in 2018, Ortiz is literally the most dangerous opponent Wilder could have possibly sought out. Why does the division need to be specified?
