Gatti v lomochenko

Yeah I just think it would be an interesting style match up Do you see salito as being better than gatti? The difference between the gatti that lost to Mickey ward and the gatti that beat Rodriguez is massive as well salido was lomachenko's second pro fight. surely you aren't trying to match lomachenko in his debut against gatti? or implying that he didn't get better? if you are, then sure, gatti might beat lomachenko in his debut or his second or third fight. if he has five fights he wins. 10 fights he embarrasses gatti. they're just not in the same class, not sure how much more that needs to be explained. gatti wasn't hard to hit, and he telegraphed his power. lomachenko has the best footwork, reflexes in boxing and he's extremely accurate. he'd bust gatti up and stop him in the middle rounds. salido was not in a higher class than gatti. not that he was a bad fighter, he just didn't have the kind of athletic talenta nd power to climb weights like gatti did. he's not better than lomachenko, either.

I love watching Gatti. He's the ultimate warrior! The human highlight reel! But Hi-Tech makes him look like garbage. Too quick and too many angles. Gatti would be dizzy by the third. (He would NEVER quit doe) I think on second thoughts he’d probably get stopped on cuts just don’t think high tech has enough power to make him dizzy Especially when you think gatti fought all the way up to 147 Plus I do think gatti would have the power to ko him Although would be very hard for him to land the shot but who knows

The Gatti that got stopped by Manfredy and went life and death with Ruelas and Rodriguez gets carved up and stopped within 4-5 rounds. Gatti's not the all-time great Mayweather fans make him out to be. I agree. He was overrated. He was basically the Cotto of his era

This sounds like a round about way of saying how much better Mayweather at 130 was than Loma is now. Gatti was a very exciting slugger I know very well at all points of his career. PFP top 10 lists were not used back then but if they were Gatti would not be on them. Loma would box his ears off and win every round in my opinion.

This is one of those threads so everyone can speak glowingly about Lomachenko. There's nothing special about Gatti except the ability to take a lot punishment.

Gatti was a foreigner. EDIT: He was born outside the US and I believe became a US citizen. If you took any part of my post seriously, maybe some time away from the internet is in order. ;)

gatti would get busted up and stopped. these two are a different class of fighter. and this is coming from a fan who loved to watch him fight. lomachenko is a pound for pound level boxer. gatti was an HBO level fighter because of how exciting he was, not how good. believe me, lomachenko doesn't lose to micky ward. he doesn't go life and death with ivan robison, wilson rodriguez, gabriel ruelas, tracy harris patterson either. I don’t think he’s all time great just think he punches a lot harder than lomo and wouldn’t quit plus would throw a heap punches if he was down on the cards Also floyd fought gatti at a great time, not saying it would of been to much diffrent if they were both 25 but he was a diffrent fighter I enjoyed Gatti but he wasn't that good. Manfredy's boxing skill was too much. Manfredy! Loma wouldn't miss and would crave his face up (Gatti was drained at that weight and skin would bruise and cut if you looked at it).

Nah man Gatti would be spun around for 10 rounds before becoming extremely frustrated. Loma uses angles that Gatti never had-Not sure this fight would even be competitive He may we’ll put on a clinic and make it 12-0 I like gatti though only because I think he would throw when it felt uncomfortable and I think he might land something eventually and at the weight he was quite fast and had great power Also dunno if lomo would have the power to worry gatti or the pop to keep him off

He may well master class him make him look silly Gatti would have a good crack though and at that weight fairly fast and massive puncher I like gatti because I think he would fire when he was frustrated and maybe land I just dunno if lomo would have the pop to keep him off
