You're talking about Golovkin like he is David Lemieux,, comparing apples to oranges Triple G is a different caliber of fighter and knows how to cut off the ring. Yes Golovkin hits hard but that's not all he is capable of doing he has great technical abilities Where was that against Brook when he lost all 4 rounds? What about DJ a fight he arguably lost? He didn't do jack shyt to a career welter/jmw in Canelo either when Canelo out boxed him on the ropes and Canelo is not a proven puncher at 160. You're overrating ggg big time, ALL of his opponents land, even Lemieux landed cleaner shots on ggg as opposed to Saunders.

Golovkin struggled a little with Jacobs but Jacobs was a quicker man with equal power, BJs is slicker but I don't believe he possesses the power to keep Golovkin honest..... it is not about having " equal " power..... it is about having enough power to keep your opponent honest Saunders did not have " equal " power than Lemieux, but he had more than enough on his punches to keep the challenger honest..... how will Golovkin be any different? and it is not just about power, it is about movement/defence/timing..... the whole package timing is the key ..... yes Alvarez has the experience vs Mayweather and Lara, but he got schooled by Money May and lost to Lara by one point in my view. I could definitely see your angle though those experiences were/will be, invaluable

I was confident that the Fury who schooled Wlad would also school Joshua and Wilder... I'm not even 1% confident that Saunders beats GGG - even this older, declining GGG... Saunders has 0 power to keep GGG from just walking him down. GGG also knows how to cut the ring off and will go to the body and he uses a jab. It would be an absolute nightmare of a match up for Saunders. that is horribly wrong I heard that said about Saunders before he fought Lemieux I heard that said about Canelo, before he fought Golovkin I heard that said about Mayweather, before every single fight over the last 20-odd years, including McGregor :lol1: don't bet on boxing

I kinda agree with that take, because of style..... that could be right but it comes down to millimetres if Saunders stays " millimetres " ahead of Golovkin, for the whole fight, and is successful..... it could play out similarly to Lemieux..... because Golovkin will not have too many options other than hunt/destroy Golovkin is not limited, like Lemieux..... but he is a little one-dimensional in his approach/gameplan I think we would need to see more from Saunders against Canelo..... who is quicker, a more well-rounded fighter, with a bigger bag of tricks and more options up his sleeve aside from having a better repertoire than Golovkin..... when it comes to slick boxers, Canelo has been in there with Mayweather/Lara/etc..... what slick boxers has Golovkin been in there with? we don't know how good Golovkin is at executing his primary (only?) gameplan at the top level..... there is a reason why Golovkin walked away from his biggest possible payday by refusing to negotiate on weight with lil 153lb Cotto..... that was BIZARRE!! we saw what movement did to Golovkin in the Jacobs fight, and we saw what skills did to Golovkin in the Canelo fight..... While Saunders was very impressive on Saturday, he was fighting a very limited fighter (who can punch) so he was always going to look like a world beater providing he didn’t get caught early with something. He would most definitely lose the battle of the jabs against GGG and unlike Lemieux, Golovkin has very good footwork and leg balance so I do think Golovkin would still beat him. The Canelo fight is tough one to judge, If Saunders kept it at long range he could have a lot of joy, inside and at mid range however and I think Canelo would light him up. Unlike Saturday he definitely ain’t getting a decision against either. (unless in the UK) Canelo hurt Lara with body shots and that's what turned the fight around for him. If like you say Saunders can stay at long range he can beat him. Whether he can I'm not sure.

Hmm. Can see Golovkin walking through a lot of Billy's work. Would be interesting to see BJS trying to fend him off and not get cornered. If he can do that for 12 frames with a good work rate, then he's in with a real shot.
