To be fair I'm probably one of those who overrated Lemieux at the time - or at least overrated the threat he posed to anyone who possessed a decent set of boxing skills. Not that I ever thought he was particularly skilled but I did believe he represented a genuine threat to anyone at 160 with his explosiveness.

I have not once even mentioned GGG. you keep mentioning him You are correct. I thought by you saying Lemeiux was never a legit champ you were implying that GGG’s win over him wasnt worth much. And while it might not be, he still earned the IBF title which GGG rightfully won from him. Your point is also irrelevant. Taylor had legal troubles and the title went vacant, so 2 other recognizable 160lb fighters fought for it. That somehow diminishes ggg then beating a top 10 middleweight (lemeiux) for said title???
