Proving infection itself doesn't hold up in a court of law most times that the methods for diagnosis, and actual transmission are questioned under oath. You'd be surprised how so called HIV experts, and doctors sing a different tune under oath, upon cross examination. Sexual transmission? "Not likely" Chances " 1 in 500 at best " Do the tests detect HIV? "No" Did you rule out cross reactions for the multitude of different things that can make the test react positive? "no" etc. etc.
