He wasn't trained by Sr. for his last fight - he just hung around the Mayweather gym and did a few rounds on the pads.

I thought he trains himself as he said in his interview and presser the other day He does, but maybe there are things he wanted to work on for this fight with Mayweather sr. He has a trainer but Jr trains everyday by himself.

You see given eubanks ego in general I wonder if it is the padwork or just the name association he likes? I wouldnt travel from England to usa just for padwork. I think its an ego massage to go over there and Instagram the training footage and it might partly be a bluff to casuals who will associate mayweathers name with being atg training methods etc. I might be wrong but your very correct about his defense people on here forget eubank got buzzed by spike o Sullivan multiple times during the fight with the left hook. He is very open to the punch and often resets his offense/approach after being tagged by the left Yeah he tends to favour the Roy Jones Jr style of defence, which is only so effective... especially as he gets older.

Mayweather Sr is the biggest Turd in Training history. He's like Virgin Cunter he just got lucky to be connected to one fighter who did well. Floyd Sr got Hatton killed by Pac. Floyd wasn't even showing up to the gym some days.

Floyd Sr has a lot of old school knowledge that you can't find anywhere else. Nothing wrong with learning whatever you can from him while he's still around.

Good stuff. But Eubank Jr. has been doing stuff with Floyd Joy for quite some time. Eubank Jr. has preferred to live in England since going pro and it seems the right thing to do for the Eubanks, but people need to realize Eubabk Sr. had Junior in Vegas in the early days. Meaning - Floyd Snr will charge Eubank $10k for 5 rounds of pad work. Eubank Junior will then post said pad work on his Instagram to strike fear into Groves. Eubank Jnr is the Instagram lineal, P4P MW and SMW Champion of the Universe.

Looks like Groves’ words got to him. Only the other day he was claiming he doesn’t need a trainer, and in fact making a big deal about Groves being weak because he, Groves, valued the presence of one. Eubank being without a trainer is clearly shown in his abilities in the ring. From British level to where he is now (still hasn’t experienced the world stage, we should remember), he hasn’t shown any notable improvements. Great athlete and can punch the bag very well. But appears to have very few strings to his bow in the ring.
