to build off what floyds mask said
some of you get all upset when people point out flaws about lil g...and then come to his defense "oh its sad when these fanboys come out here and call the true MW champ lil g...shows how sad u are"
oh really?
it might be sad if internet fans came up with the name
its not sad when a 2 divison champ, unbeaten, hall of famer does it....ward is boxing...done more than any fanboy...so when he says it and coins the term its ok to use for us message boarders
its not anyone elses fault that ward pulled down golovkin skirt and revealed the true golovkin...i know some of u still refuse to admit or acknowledge it....but it happened
ward asked him to come play with a real big boy....a fight at 168...instead golovkin decided to pull up kell brook and chase a guy you all claimed lara beat(of course u claimed this when u thought canelo was ducking)....u all said there was no reason for golovkin to fight lara because hed kill him..lol...yet u claimed lara beat canelo when u thought canelo was hiding
golovkin will never rate higher on any credible AT list than ward...and ward is the one who coined the term...not the online fans...remember that...and remember why you pathetic slugs
wards offer wasnt contingent on him cancelling the lemieux fight guy....stop acting like it was....ward wasnt asking to him to not fight lemiuex...that excuse has 0 merit
numerous times loeffler has said if they went to 168 they would come back to 160 and it would be on a one fight basis.....when wards side sent a formal email it was an offer at 168...not 175...stop trying to run with that desperately
nowhere have I said either of those things. why would they send an offer to make a fight right after a ggg just signed to fight? what if he loses? isn't it possible the parameters might change...or maybe they wouldn't even be interested anymore.
ward saying ggg would have to move up to 175 to fight him after he moved there is another example of the games he was playing. I've said ggg's side wasn't overly interested in making the fight either...but let's not pretend roc nation made a big effort either. they sure jumped on the opportunity to smear ggg to the media...not really the actions of a side who really wanted to get the fight done.
the fact that ward said 175 a year or so after the first "offer" really shows ward's interest in making the fight...guess he suddenly couldn't make 168.
ggg had a fight signed and a better option to chase, that is just fact. the difference between ward/ggg and ggg/canelo, is that canelo was in the same division calling himself champion...ggg needed to move to another division to make the ward fight.
I don't think either side was very serious about making the fight. Loffler overestimated ggg's worth and felt ward didn't offer the right reward for the risk and proceeded to make sh*t fights while chasing canelo. ward's team made an offer when ggg had a fight already signed then passive aggressively went to the media saying ggg was scared when the offer was turned down...not to mention requiring ggg to make all the concessions to get the fight done. these aren't the actions of 2 sides serious about making a fight...but it doesn't surprise me, cuz I don't think the fight was that lucrative to begin with.

The first Ward Kovalev fight drew about the same as the Golovkin Lemieux fight. So K2 was right. Lemieux had a title in the same weight division and it was a unification fight. Good reasons to take it.
I think they had an accurate assessment of what ward was worth, but overestimated ggg's value. I think they thought ggg was gonna be some type of ppv star who would command more than a 50/50 split with ward, which I think was a big factor in turning down the offer at that time. They were wrong and a ppv with ward would have been better than wade/brook...but they were right to hold out for Canelo imo. It would take 5 ggg-ward ppvs to do that kind of business, and he very well coulda ended up with a L for his trouble.

lolol...when wards people contacted k2 it was about a fight at 168..not 175...but you mugs keep making up stories to fit the agenda and blame ward too
you guys can keep telling us how golovkin had a more lucrative fight on the horizon so hed be stupid to fight ward and ruin that....but you all screamed about fighting for legacy and to see who the best is when canelo was being chased by golovkin..now all of the sudden when golovkin needs an excuse to duck a tough fight its ok to make smart business moves? lol....its never ok to do that unless it favors golovkin or golovkin is doing it...

you golovkin superfans are too dumb and blind to understand your own hypocrisy...u guys claimed for years money didnt matter and alll that crap....till it benefits golovkin and excuses his duck...this is why people think u are collectively a joke
So why are you always getting worked up and angry about it?

Have GGG and Ward ever fought in the same division?
Has Ward ever been GGG's mando?
Has GGG ever vacated a world title to avoid fighting Andre Ward, or anybody else?

So they obviously weren't interested in a fight down the road, but ended up doing the same type of deal with kovalev. Ggg had a fight signed and a more lucrative option afterward...no doubt they're gonna try to get the cotto vs Canelo winner instead of tying ggg up with a ward fight after another interim fight. I guess ward saying he'd only fight him at 175 was showing interest in making the fight too. Ward's incessant need to be in control hampered this fight just as much as ggg's team not showing much interest. If the fight was lucrative and both parties were serious about making the fight and not just posturing, then maybe we would have seen it.

when you understand the difference between your and you're...let me know dunce
Thanks for the critique.
We're pathetic slugs and you're a loser idiot so what else is new. Why did you bother with the long preamble. Just post the punch line which is always the same and save everyone the bother of reading your drivel.
Better???

One more time, since you don't get it.
Ward didn't send the offer.
Ward's promoter sent the offer.
RocNation communicated by email with Loeffler, Golovkin's promoter.
Golovkin and his promoter TURNED DOWN THE OFFER THEY GOT FROM ROCNATION IN A HALF HOUR.
This was part of the response:
"If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California," Loeffler said. "So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now."
Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.
This was in 2015. That's an official duck by any standard.
Of course we know that PPV did anywhere between a high of 150K and a low of 97K so I guess G wasn't the star Loeffler thought he was.
There was no further negotiation because they flat out did not want to fight Ward.
Period.
Your conclusion that it's a duck because they can make more money fighting someone else makes no sense. The PPV numbers for that fight was 150k with a good live gate. Kovalev Ward one drew 160k.
Ward simply can't draw PPV numbers. So why fight Ward and throw a monkey wrench into unification and a potential fight with the winner of Cotto Canelo. Financially and career wise it makes no sense.

No, I don't get the picture.
You said he called out HBO and charged racism.
None of that is in the link you cited.
And I just told you it was the NSAC that wouldn't sanction Murdock (you said Rohan again, like that is his last name which it aint). Absolutely nothing in that link says anything about what HBO will or will not pay for.
The "they" who is pressuring Ward to move up are "fans and critics", not HBO.
All the bullshyt you are claiming, you pulled out your arse.
And, of course, you also included your personal dislike in the post which explains why you fabricated that nice but false narrative.
I'm out.
Enjoy being a fanboy and hater.
Enjoy burying your head in the sand.
I'm out too.
There was no serious discussion because obviously what loffler responded with didn't fit with what ward wanted to do. If we weren't living in the time of blowing smoke to the media, we wouldn't even be talking about this. Ward knew what he was doing, and that's fine...but it's not how fights get made. I believe ward woulda beat ggg, but I also understand that ggg had better options and that ward tends to overvalue his worth and doesn't like to make any concessions. save the fanboy monsense...you're the guy accepting everything ward says at face value and defending his reasoning for not wanting to fight earlier, while discrediting the other side for their reasons. Ward came in at the wrong time with his alleged offer...that's all there is to it. He moved on and did his thing.

The most lucrative option he had had more lucrative options in Cotto and Canelo.

He didn't directly called out HBO, but you get the picture.
Yeah, I know he didn't, knew it when you tried to float that bullshyt in the first place but screw facts, right?
He said this after his fight vs Rohan didn't get sanctioned and after HBO made it clear that they wouldn't pay for his mismatches unless he agreed to fight Kovalev.
He didn't move up because he dared to be great like you guys say, he moved up because he had no choice. Nothing heroic about it.
Andre Ward is a phony. Always has been. How anyone can like and support this entitled diva is beyond me.

So it has to be a sit down in order to be a legit offer?
Do you have any idea how fanboy you sound with that?
One promoter sent another promoter an offer by email, which is how a lot of offers are sent these days.
The promoter who got the offer confirmed that he got it and that it was turned down.
The promoter gave reasons why the offer was turned down.
One of those reasons turned out to be a little bogus.
You can't spin that.
But, I know you will try.
