TYSON FURY could give Anthony Joshua a serious run for his money in a heavyweight clash but he faces a huge battle to get fighting fit. That's according to former IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker who reckons Fury's team face an uphill battle getting the self-styled Gypsy King back into peak condition. Barker should know. Since hanging up his gloves, he's opened 12x3 gym in Aldgate with co-founder Ryan Pickard and is turning clients into champs on a daily basis. Click Here To Read More]
Fury was fortunate Vlad didn't show up when they fought.
The idea that his performance displayed an ability to hang tough with AJ is non existent. At present he's an unlicensed fighter batting mental illness and drug addiction. You don't emerge from such terror without diligent work. His big mouth informs that he's healing very slowly. AJ as well as Wilder would destroy him if he fought either next year.
I have seen Fury quite a bit, he has no issue with stamina during fights.
If he is mentally fit and physically prepared he can beat any HW in the division.
In top condition and 100% focused and motivated, he actually schools guys like Joshua and Wilder.
Joshua's power isn't that devastating. I think it's a bit overrated to be honest and I think he'd struggle to land many against Fury. His feet are quite slow and he's fairly predictable.
People immediately think that because Fury got dropped against Cunningham and Pajkic that he's chinny and as soon as AJ lands he'll get knocked out. For both of those shots he was caught completely square on and walked onto huge haymakers, he wasn't really hurt badly by either of them and I just think that he won't be there to be hit by Joshua, certainly not square on like that. His movement, angles and feints will confuse Joshua and I personally think that he will outbox him and stop him late.
Stylistically he's Joshua's nightmare.
I don't think Joshua has terribly strong power. He can stop some HW's with his bigger shots. However, he throws power punches that accumulate and wear you down as the fight develops. I don't think Fury is really chinny either, i just think if AJ lands on him clean it will spell the end. If he was to beat AJ, it will be by outboxing in my opinion.
That being said, I don't think we'll ever see this man in a meaningful fight again. He comes out and says things every now and again, but repeatedly says on his insta etc that he is happy with his life now (family man relaxing with his wife and kids).

Well said. Fury was messing about against Cunningham, got caught completely square and it was the best punch USS has ever thrown. Fury got straight back up, got his sh1t together than proceeded to put a beating on him. Fury was not hurt at all. Does anyone think that Fury will mess about against someone like Joshua?
Fury would cause AJ problems all night but if AJ hands on him. It's goodnight.

This is all about how Fury shapes up ....if at all.I'm not sure
Tyson himself is sure and maybe that's why he keeps saying he could beat him at 25 stone.
One thing is for sure Tyson will have to beat a couple of guys to get there and who knows that could be a problem.
Only a peak Tyson would have a chance of beating a fit strong and powerful AJ. who is still learning and will always have the ability to close the show.
