Seriously, does anyone actually think he can? No, really, like literally beat Wilder. Because if you do, you're either British, or a hardcore Joshua **** smoker.
Deontay Wilder would beat the living ish out of Joshua, and it wouldn't even be close. Also, I remember after the Klitschko fight, everyone was saying he'd smoke Wilder, while I never thought that, ever. Joshua ain't a real fighter like that. Wilder was born to be a HW champ. The guy is seriously one of thse generational talents, and his potential is being fulfilled.
Based on defeating Stiverne twice, huh?
Don't know why you people make these stupid threads.
If he beat Fury, then I might side with you.
Man his resume is full of bums which made him look good.
I don't enjoy either but AJ wins it wide with his good stance and basics. I just want to see Wilder fight someone who reacts to missed huge shots and fill openings.
I think it's an even fight that either man could win by KO. I don't think it will go 12 rounds because their fights never do. Both of them have great punching power and average chins. AJ throws correct punches while Wilder is famous for throwing wide looping punches windmill style. Wilder has a great jab and a great straight right but he also throws a lot of slop that his opponent can see coming and he leaves himself open. Wilder is faster than AJ and has faster hands. Wilder's stamina and punch output per round is good. AJ's work rate and stamina is very poor. If the fight goes many rounds Wilder has the advantage in the later rounds when AJ runs out of gas. AJ has the better defense. That's how I see it. A 50/50 fight. Wilder has plenty of flaws and weaknesses and he has struggled at times beating guys who weren't very good.
Quite possibly the best and most realistic way to view things right here.
It feels like one of those type of fights where whoever ‘shows up’ the best on the night will win because right now it feels even.
you see this guy

I'm dead. Literal tears.
You do realize after WIlder whoops his ass, I'm bumping the ISH out this thread.....
Yeah because it would be shocking to you, right? Even though he does, what does that say #1 KO's #2, that's pretty standard... I'm 60 / 40 on Wilder, I think the stamina issues will be apparent.
The same haters that believe A.J beats Wilder are the same that thought Kovalev would KO Andre S.O.G Ward, same fools the believed that Lil G-String would walk Canelo down and beat him senseless ; same gullible UK fanboys that said Kell Brook would outclass E. Spence -- but who got all them picks right? me.
Now I'm telling you like I been telling you scoffers for years Deontay Wilder is going to prove you wrong and prove me right AGAIN.
yeah but ward won cuz of crooked refs and judges..and lil didnt lose and even though it was a draw it was cuz of crooked judges...and lil landed more jabs so...and well...brook only lost cause lil g already damaged him....and so on and so on......when wilder sparks AJ they will have an excuse for that too

Other than GGG/Nelo, agree wholeheartedly, and you notice how it's always UK fans that get way too fanboyish for their fighter, and make the most retarded predictions?
Yeah, Wilder's gonna whoop that ass, and I wasn't joking when I said he's a generational talent. He's the Joel Embiid of boxers, minus the injuries.

Very close fight, right now I see the advantage with Wilder. I think if the fight goes over 6, AJ will be in trouble, based on the bodybuilding. He should solely focus on his stamina right now. Not bodybuilding.
That's all AJ is to me. A bodubuilder that boxes for a living.
Wilder is a big powerful puncher but if we’re being objective here, he telegraphs and punches like a windmill. AJ is skilled and might give Wilder something he hasn’t experienced before....a boxing lesson.:boxing:
I must see a different wilder to the guy that's talked about on this forum cause to me he looks ****ing trash and is fortunate he fights in one of the worst heavyweight eras of all time. Crawford v indongo is what happens when a guy whos 'unorthodox technically' comes up against someone technically sound whos elite level. I wouldn't be shocked if wilder v Joshua is very one sided, wilders lack of technique will get seriously exposed when coming up against someone whos bigger and technically sound. Theres just no scenario in my head where i can imagine him winning the trade offs or being able to outbox joshua and i don't believe he hits any harder than klitschko who wasn't able to get him out of there. The 'it only takes one punch' line of prediction is usually garbage 90 percent of the time in these big match ups.
This!!
A lot is being made of Wilder's ability to end this fight with one punch, it is HIGHLY unlikely that he does. How many quality opponents has he done this to?
He'd need to land something STUPIDLY INSANE on the point of Joshua's chin. He won't do that by loading up and swinging wildly like he usually does.
Joshua would be the favourite, and rightly so.
Wilder looks good fighting statues, definitely. Those lobby, long-arc windmills are more likely to hit the target when the target doesn't f*cking move - ala Stiverne.
While Joshua has power, he has boxing skill. Wilder has fighting skill. I'll take the boxer over the fighter in a boxing match.

I want the fight to happen unlike a lot of AJ fan boys around here.
I have AJ as favorite because he simply is better almost at everything than Wilder. He has better defense and counters from that defensive position. Also he can shorten his punches and has a lot of speed with accuracy.
Wilder brings the big 1-2, snapping jab and I gonna take on the world attitude.
I will always go with skills unless Wilder shows that he has another gear in him.
yeah if the world gives him 50-50. i call that pay me a lot of money to knock me out attitude
