This is what i think will happen, Dana White had nothing but praise for Al Haymon and said the man was brilliant and easy to negotiate with, white and zuffa will act as the lead promoters and buy out pbc, and fighters contracts, they will create their own belt the pbc belt and force the best to fight the best they will build up amateurs into house hold names just like how ufc built up nobodies into stars in ufc
This is going to help them land a massive tv deal, ufc is looking for a super huge tv deal after the fox deal is up, not only will they have ufc to offer they will have boxing and pbc, its the best move dana can make to get into boxing. He will have all the haymon fighters under his banner.
Dana doesnt need stars he will create them, that guy is the best hype man, look how he did for ronda rousey.
Look for dana white to go after manny pacquiao in december when his contract expires
I actually think a lot of people don't know. I even saw some boxing websites use "UFC interested in purchasing the PBC" and then later change their headline after realizing WME purchasing isn't the same thing.
I still see the same articles saying ufc, or wme owners of ufc
No **** Sherlock lol, most people dont know who wme is so we use ufc owners in the title to capture the readers interest.

Oh, I don't doubt certain sites are using the UFC in their headlines, it's just incorrect. PBC and the UFC would be owned by the same company, but UFC itself won't be owning the PBC.

Whoever owns ufc same thing all the articles are using ufc in the title. Dont be a dick man

It's amazing that these sanctioning orgs have been able to survive for so long. Casuals don't understand a thing about them and hardcore fans despise them. Why PBC hasn't created 8 belts for the original 8 weight classes yet is beyond me. Probably the reason that the WBO is Top Rank and Warren's puppet and the WBC is PBC and Mexico's puppet. They know they need them more than those ent-ities need the sanctioning orgs.
Look at all the other combat sports; MMA, kickboxing, bare-knuckle. None of them have sanctioning orgs awarding titles. Each promotion has their own set of belts.
Yup, sanctioning bodies aint **** but money grabbers. Wme/ufc will just create their own belt save the hassle and not have to pay twenty percent of the fighters purse to defend a wbo or wbc belt.
That way pbc boxing belt fighters dont have to pay out of pocket for a title defense.
UFC wouldn't be purchasing the PBC.
That would be Endeavor which is the parent company of the UFC. That is different.

Sounds like something similar to what Haymon did with his Concert Promotion by Selling Half of it to Live Nation will still having control and working closely with his clients
Getting Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell behind PBC is not a bad thing at all, you're talking about some very POWERFUL and well Connected guys. Also they can help Boxers really grow their brand outside of the ring as well
It's just talks at the moment. There is nothing official yet. Haymon is just hearing WME out and listening to what they are proposing; Just as he did with DAZN.
However, there is no doubt that Haymon could use the extra capital from the sale of the PBC, to help pay off some of his creditors and investors but I just don't see him selling the majority interest of his company to Endeavor.
Perhaps, he would be willing to sell them between 40-49 percent of his company to them as minority shareholders but definitely not as the majority shareholders or for the entire company.

Looks like my premonition may come true I called this back in 2017

Im not sure if Haymon owns PBC or if the Waddell fund owns it. I never looked into it because it was obvious that "PBC" was nothing more than a logo and a website. All the REAL assets are owned by Haymon Sports.
Which was my whole point. Zuffa would never try to buy "PBC", because there is nothing of value there.
WME the owners of UFC are now in talks to buy PBC

First of all Dana white doesn’t own the UFC lol. 2nd no fighter in the PBC is gonna fight for $50k with $5k bonuses haha
lol I dont think they are gonna pay the boxers 50k unlesss they are undercard guys
Yes, I believe Republican, Trump voter Al Haymon will have no choice but to abandon fast sinking ship PBC as soon as possible. The way he depends on other promoters to foot the bill for whole boxing events, including his fighter's pay, is just not sustainable and he will have no choice but to sell PBC to next bidder, which may as well be Dana and the UFC.
That's not how that works, guy

Dana whit said he will get into boxing in 2020, pbc has a lot of talent
Okay Mr Semantics, but the UFC teaming up with Al Haymon with w/e entity is the entity of value is still a thing that could happen. Thats all I & other mfers discussing a team up between these two entities is saying. If its PBC, if Haymon Sports, if its Haymon himself, if its Haymon's momma it is whatever it happens to be that has value & this crazy roster of fighter contracts in its safe.
ok Mr Hall Monitor, whatever you say......
