I would prefer he rematches Canelo, but I am afraid that the next scenario is very possible:
Lemieux gets a win against Saunders in a very controversial decision. Canelo decides he wants to go for Lemieux's new title and that fight gets made.
What's left for Gennady?
Should he rematch Jacobs? How much beating Jacobs for the 2nd time means for him at this point?
Canelo rematch will probably happen but he can’t do no wrong if he faces his mando charlo or going for a Jacobs rematch. Unifying with Saunders is a long shot because he would have To wait too long and might as well make the canelo rematch happen instead.
Dont think itll be the winner of Lemieux/Saunders, thats the reason the rematch wont be next, Canelo wants the winner
tonyge is your typical dumb, deluisonal, ggg superfan...hes so out of it and has his ggg glasses on hes completely unaware that the reason ggg/canelo 2 would be put on backburner next is so canelo can fight saunders/lemiuex winner
If Canelo doesn't fight him and Saunders wins he should fight Saunders if possible to get that last belt. If Lemieux wins and Canelo fights Lemieux he should rematch Jacobs in my opinion. I know Jermall is the mandatory and a good fighter. Jacobs is far more proven at 160 and earned a rematch for his good showing in the first fight. Jemall has only defeated one middleweight who came into the fight a crippled boxer. One thing is certain. No matter who he fights the GGG hate club on here will accuse him of ducking somebody. They always do.
Well, as a boxing fan, I'd rather see him face Charlo. It's something new (maybe exciting) and could tell us how good Jermall really is, or not.
I'm not interested in the Canelo 2 fight. The styles didn't mesh well for me the first time. I won't say boring. Anyway, if not Charlo, then Jacobs would do. I prefer Eubank Jr over Jacobs.
I used to like Saunders but he's not as good as he used to be. He's the weakest link. I'd expect Golovkin to take that route.
The middleweight division sucks.:boxing:
I doubt he will fight Saunders if he loses to Lemieux. It wouldn't be a unification bout and he probably will fight Charlo because his exemption is for a rematch with Canelo. Saunders might be able to bring in a good payday so everything is up in the air.

Yeah I'm afraid your right. That's possibly why Canelo hasn't signed the rematch yet.
Whatever brings in the most dollars. So that would be the winner of Saunders and Lemieux. I'd rather see him fight Saunders personally it would be interesting. Failing that, Charlo. I really don't see the point of moving up because Ward is gone. I don't think he could beat Ward anyway if Ward is allowed to get away with his cheating. In a straight up fight by the rules I think Ward would still be a problem. He's bigger and very smart.
Fight vs DeGale would probably sell out a stadium in the UK.
Id watch it.

there are no genuinely big fights at 160 lbs, and no real names at all at 168 lbs. he may retire by the end of 2018. i'd expect him to take an easier fight than charlo if he's not getting pay per view money. promotors don't like pay cuts, and fighters really don't like them. but you can fight three cans in a year and make several million in purse. charlo you risk losing, breaking your hands, cuts, etc.
in a perfect world the canelo rematch happens. otherwise, given the landscape at 160 and how much i detest saunders for ducking golovkin in his prime i'd prefer charlo.
he can be marketed as a bad guy, and he's a dangerous opponent.
i really don't care for a jacobs rematch. fight wasn't all that good, and considering that golovkin's fights left in boxing are and should be a finite resource i don't expect it to happen and would prefer other fights.
Charlo or Jacobs.
