I'm not a true Wilder fan so I'm not taking glory in Deontay's win, but it was no doubt impressive. However, it seems to have really bothered AJ fans. Like, DEEPLY.
If a fighter I like has a tough opponent on the horizon, I love that! I like seeing that potential opponent do well and can't wait until the two meet in the ring. I don't bash the guy and try to pretend he's invalid.
You guys are embarrassing yourselves. That violent win was the perfect fuel to this Wilder/AJ fire but instead of celebrating an exciting HW rivalry, you're acting so damn insecure and angry. Why so angry?

Good KO but it's obvious Stiverne was nothing than a big fat unfit mess last night.
This heavyweight era was shaping up OK when Fury and Klit were both prime and Joshua was peaking. Now that Fury is unfit and Klit has retired this heavy era looks very average. The reaction to Wilders poor quality win says it all.
Fury needs to look good in his tune up before Josh to restore my confidence.
^Case in point. You can't even explain yourself. So many are just bothered and angry and if you call them on it, they lash out in the stupidest ways.
Styles make fights. I think Stiverne would have lasted many rounds with Joshua. It's just Wilder's freakish power. Someone very technically sound will beat Wilder, but there's not that many high quality heavyweights these days (besides Joshua).
It's a great fight. I think Joshua edges him out just a little bit though. I'm not a huge fan of Wilder's "New-Era" attitude. But I like the fact that he's an American Heavyweight Champion.
Stiverne threw 4 punches and none landed last Weekend.
I'd be interested in exactly how 'this version' of Stiverne beats Whyte.
Maybe dodges a punch Whyte slips, falls and knocks himself unconscious?
Boxing is all matchups. Whyte is not anywhere near as powerful as Wilder, or as fast as Wilder. Stiverne would have had more than enough time to get into the fight and Stiverne would have been less cautious. This is just common sense.
Statements like the zombified corpse is what does not make any sense. The Stiverne who fought Wilder last Saturday beats Whyte in my opinion. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to get into the match. Boxing is always about match ups. It is not mathematics. The fact that Stiverne was made to look bad against Wilder does not mean that he would have looked like that against someone else. I hope we see a match up soon against one of these guys and see the result.

In all honesty though mate (buddy, Fat Yank) 90% of the "discussion" in NSB isn't worth wiping your backside with, is it?
I'm sure half of these jokers don't even watch the fights.
Great point.^ Best in the thread so far.
So disappointing to get in a debate about the nuances of a potential fight and find out the other guy is just pulling from his ass and supporting the guy he relates to for one reason or another.
Funny how we had a ton of AJ fans coming up with reasons why AJ didn't need to fight Wilder now, but Hearn announces negotiations and they suddenly want the fight and say, "I told you!!"
Such puppets! :lol1:
Glad the fight is being negotiated. I continue to maintain, I don't think AJ himself ever ducked. Only that Hearn's statements about the fight and "offers" to Wilder were suspect at best. Glad he's moving in the right direction. Boxing needs this.
The main reason that Joshua fanboys are triggered is because he looked average against Takam.
On the other hand, Wilder would have had more opposition from a zombified corpse than Stiverne gave him last weekend.
People are too easily impressed by Wilder and too quick to dismiss Joshua to be honest.

yeah he'll fight him next year and he'll beat him pretty easy. im not even a big joshua fan and dont rate him that much, but wilder is god awful. its funny how a lot of his fans on here usually strictly follow technical boxers yet they turn a blind eye to wilders dog**** technique lol, someone like lennox lewis would have knocked him out in a round back in the day.
well wilder will never be the most technical fighter that's not his strength, he has a great right hand, nice lead left hook and a pretty good jab... when a boxer is technical hes boring around here tho. hes not fighting in Lewis time hes fighting now and Joshua wilder is the biggest fight and we just want to see it... all this extra mess u guys are spewing is irrelevant
Wilder is as irrelevant as Stevenson Adonis.
2 years and he didn't make something of himself.
Now he needs the guy who willingly fought Klitschko.
It's embarrassing.
It's insult to everyone's intelligence that he wants a shortcut for the big fight.
this is pathetic, u guys are terrible
Wilder is notorious for saying Cruiser to "Super Heavy" is "easy fomi" Wilder's best win was a LHW that when they promoted the pressers the LHW was heavier than Wilder.:dance:
Redd Foxx is an OG. Stay your lane son.
Suck a bag of dicks.
It's getting pretty bad. I didn't expect this guy to appeal to the casuals like that but that's my stupid fault as he checks all the right boxes for that crowd.
I'm not saying being an AJ fan means there's anything wrong with you. Just that a lot of the predictable, "tell me who I should like", forum members here all jumped on the AJ wagon. Many of them revealed themselves in this thread. They very emotionally told me that they are not getting upset over Wilder's win. :lol1:
Again, no disrespect to the quality members who like AJ. I'm indifferent about him. If people were over-hyping Wilder I'd probably say the same thing but the guy has been relentlessly bashed for years.
Ah, so you do remember me saying over and over that I thought Golovkin beat Canelo and you're giving me credit for my integrity... "Oh, wait..."
Same close-minded people saying the same things, NEVER willing to change their stance or give credit where it's due.
Oh i see...you gave ggg credit for beating Canelo like 90% of the world, congrats. What about making threads asking why everyone was "sooo threatened by ggg" when he was getting trashed daily? Must have missed all those ones.
impressive beating an out of shape 39 year old whos barely fought in 2 years and whos best win when in his prime was chris arreola? The way u and others are making it sound, wilders a first ballot hall of famer after that fight. ANd trust me noones scared of wilder, being hundred percent honest hes pretty much considered a joke by the UK casuals, theyve seen the clips of his horrific technique and windmills and they look at his CV and (rightfully) come to the conclusion hes not fought anyone who can fight back.
so Joshua should simply take the fight n beat this no technique having bum right?
I will probably be the most insufferable dude on the forum and I will have totally earned that having to put up with being a fan of Wilder being told all sorts of stuff about how I didn't know a lick about boxing
Yes, you will have earned it. I defended Ward when he was in contract dispute and became a running joke, then had his tune-ups, and everyone said he won't fight Kovalev, then said he lost, said he won't rematch, then laughed at Hunter saying he'd KO Kovalev, etc, etc. After YEARS of eating that shyt I can't tell you how damn sweet it was (and still is) to flaunt that in all those hater's faces.
I hope you get to experience that w/ Wilder.
I will say this as a Wilder fan should Wilder get through Joshua undefeated I will probably be the most insufferable dude on the forum and I will have totally earned that having to put up with being a fan of Wilder being told all sorts of stuff about how I didn't know a lick about boxing because I thought Wilder could turn out to be pretty damn effective (even if it doesn't look like normal).
I think I will know what Andy DuFresne felt like after climbing through that **** pipe~
So just know what is coming if Wilder win, which is far from a sure thing and I know what will come back should he get knocked out.
Also keep in mind people like me have been right about Wilder while the people that hate him have been wrong at every turn~ so that is what they fear and if they are wrong this time it is curtains for that whole line of thinking that they have been spouting for years.
Aj fans are the worst
Ignorant
They are brainwashed by the sky and hearn hype
Hearn feeds them bs and they gobble it up and regurgitate it

Yea...I recall you doing the same after all the relentless ggg bashing threads every time he fights. You truly are the unbiased voice of reason...oh wait

I checked the forum before bed and saw a ton of threads/posts trashing Wilder's win. I woke up today and saw the same. That was all I needed to see.

Did AJ fight a live dog in Wlad? How can you objectively say that? Wlad was coming of a loss after a previously horrible performance against Bryant Jennings, he was 41+ years old and almost 1.5 year layoff. But, AJ got credited for beating him - why?
I am not even against giving AJ credit but come on...
He fought a far better opponent than Stiverne, especially that Stiverne.
And old Wlad is still 2 classes above the best Stiverne we could ever dream of.

This is post factum wisdom. Both AJ and DW at some point sparred Wlad, when they were up-and-comers. And they were beaten badly. This leaves an impression on the psyche. AJ was able to overcome this. DW never mentioned Wlad and I consider that he wanted to wait him out. The credit went to Joshua. DW is a second best and as such has to take a backseat in negotiations.
