We all know that bigger guys really should have tune-up fights before fighting smaller guys who move up for them.
Only great fighters with huge balls agree to fight smaller guys without any tune-ups.
Respect to BHop for proving his greatness by fighting Pavlick straight away, instead of asking him to sign a contract to fight sometime next year so he could have a tune-up first.
Other great fighters, with huge balls, who fought smaller guys without asking for tune-ups first are:
Gennady Golovkin. Floyd Mayweather. Oscar De la Hoya. Manny Paquiao. Mike Tyson. Marvin Hagler. Carlos Monzon. Muhammad Ali. Joe Frazier. Joe Louis. Etc, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on and on.
Respect to all great champions with balls who fought smaller men without tune-ups!

Slickness, and deep down he could perceptually see that Kelly Pavlik was tailor made for him! (A lot of the media and boxing experts saw things differently! At the time everybody was bamboozled by Kelly Pavlik's punching power and performances against Jermaine Taylor! (There was aura surrounding him, which was perpetuated by the boxing media! BIG MISTAKE!)
hopkins is a racist buck toothed prick who often fought smaller fighters but still gets lots of credit for it.
And wouldn't even help his own nephew, Boxer Demetrius Hopkins, in ANY way when he has nothing but resources to do so.
imagine if hopkins had just had a tune up too. like say against paul smith...and then he asked for another tune up before fighting pavlik. wouldnt that be pretty suspect? so 2 tune ups needed for pavlik lmao! everyone would make fun of him for life. im glad no one like that really exists though. that would be horrible.
And what if there had been a cash cow like, eg, Canelo Alvarez, in Pavlik's division. And Pavlik was mandated to fight the cash cow and BHop had asked Pavlik to move up and fight him instead. And when Pavlik said "no thanks" BHop's fans had started calling Pavlik a coward and a duck for not waiting while BHop had another tune-up then moving up and fighting him!
That would be fucking nuts.

Listen I only have one thing to say. If you are smart enough to come on a boxing forum and start a thread, you are smart enough to look up the CORRECT spelling of the boxers names you are talking about. FFS.
Yes, I am. Manny Pacquiao
