I always thought head movement was a great thing but Derrick James explained how head movement can be detrimental. Dipping and leaning side to side can get you out of position and get you timed and knocked out.

it's a shame though because I really like Lubin and wanted him to win. Can't believe he went out like that in the 1st round. Didn't think he was soft like that.
The thing Lubin did wrong wasn't about moving his head or leaning to the side per se.
The problem was that he did those things and
A) took his eyes off his opponent and,
B) didn't keep his guard in proper position.

Not soft, Jermell was a better fighter period. Lions Only!
daaaaaaaaaamn he they knew he would do that. a big no no as a southpaw vs a good ortho like charlo, she should have ducked to his right.... he may need to switch trainers to get to the next level. little things matter
Yup, It's boxing fundamentals though, that extra extra stuff will always fail up against basic boxing 101 unless you're a freak athlete like Roy Jones.
That is a scary video right there.
This proves they were well aware of Lubin doing this going into the fight, Lubin does this in all his fights. They knew.
